Are there any accomadations made for shows at AK? My son loves the shows but has a hard time waiting. He has Aspergers and his frustration builds and then he blows. I wanted to try to go to a couple of shows but he can only wait for a short time. Would the CM's let my daughter and I wait and hold a place for my son and hubby with a GAC pass. I don't want to break all the rules. I just want to enjoy our vacation as a family. If not I can always just pick one show to see. Any ideas?

we get a GAC and use the back entrance at the Lion King Show. You will see other people with GAC"S lining up their also.

The procedure for using GACs may have changed, at Festival of the Lion King. Last time we were at the back entrance for the Lion King show (where we had eventually learned we needed to go), we were not treated kindly at all. We were told we should go through the regular line to the wheelchair turnoff ????? They explained that the back entrance is now ONLY for VIPs (fancy people on a list). Anyway, once we got inside and seated (our needs are most likely different than yours, my dd is vision impaired), they still had us scooting in more and more, to add other people. I wouldn't worry about the wait once seated, though. It is quick...not a long wait.

HTH some!

You best bet for any show is to go to the first CM you see who seems to be involved in crowd control, show the GAC, and ask what needs to be done.

We were treated like royalty at the AK shows a couple years ago. But my daughter obviously has behavioral and balance problems -- and the day we went to Lion King and tarzan she was having quite a few seizures. However, she is very personable and has a unique charm to her. CMs were very sympathetic -- giving her free popsicles and necklaces. We didn't make it through the Tarzan show and had to leave early, but she did fine in the LK. I'm glad for the new AC. It'll be very helpful for her.

We used the wheelchair entrances.

::yes::
That is always best because they sometimes change the way thing are handled (as was already posted about the back entrance for Lion King).

Sometimes things change temporarily because of specific conditions at the time (like the number of people waiting), so asking the CM at the entrance is the best bet.

What about the new Nemo show at AK? I was there solo in Dec. and didn't see the show, but did see the line. If I recall it was downhill? If I'm right, I can't imagine handling a WC in that line (or DS waiting an hour standing/sitting in one spot).
