FYI WDW Marathon no longer sold out

anyway i dont know if anyone knows this but you can actually register for the marathon from the run disney site. what you have to do is go to register for one of the kids races once you get to the point where you select your race youll notice the marathon no longer says "sold out" at that point you enter your info and register for the race like normal. of course the price is very high.

this does me no good since i wanted the half

That loop hole has been there for a while. I am not sure that the registration actually works once you hit submit with credit card info. At least that is what happened to a friend about 7 weeks ago.

I'd be a little nervous at this point signing up for the Marathon since all the bibs and corral placements have been assigned. If in fact all the information went through, including credit card information, I'm still not sure if you'd be permitted to run the marathon.

I was supposed to run the Dallas marathon Dec. 8 but it was cancelled due to ice storms. So I tried signing up for the Disney marathon through three of the travel companies that had bibs left and they all told me registration had closed Dec. 6 and they couldn't sell the bibs they had left anymore.

I wanted to bump this back up to see if OP was actually able to pick up his bib etc. or if there were any problems.
