When reheating a piece of pizza on a paper plate, inside a plastic bag sealed with a twist tie, TAKE OFF THE TWIST TIE BEFORE COOKING IN THE MICROWAVE!!! Otherwise it catches fire and the plate flames up!!!!!

Funny you should mention it, my DH managed to set a taco on fire last night.

LOL

set a taco on fire....that takes talent!

We almost did that one time when trying to defrost a loaf of bread. I caught it in time though.

You must use the exact same cookbook I do! I am not really allowed to cook/reheat any longer without supervision.

I have burned water..(you know when you forget you have it boiling, evaporates and burns the pan)

Let me tell you it was not pretty! :rotfl: the flames melted the plastic and it smelled awful, plastic burns for quite a while! I finally threw a wet paper towel over it to douse the flames. So much for the pizza!

Also don't forget to take the little aluminum cover flap off of the little butters that you get from restaurants. :earseek:

Kimya

Contacts don't do well in microwaves either.lol
Ahhhh to be an innocent brainless teenager again..... :rolleyes1

And if your Christmas coffee mug has a gold band around it, it is not microwave safe.

Did I ever tell you all that if you put a blank CD in the microwave it cleans it really well? it is soooo cool.
