Yesterday I went to the parks and I noticed the Santa Mickey Ears hats. They have a snowflake design on each ear and it's red with a stitching of mickey on the front. The hat also has the same white trim as a Santa hat. I went to a store in Frontierland (used to be a candy store but now it's a hat store for some reason) and the CM told me: "We do not carry adult sizes for this item. We only have youth and infant. They just don't make any for adults."

WRONG!!

I went to the Disney Showcase store on Main St. and they had TONS of adult sized hats for this item. I was told by the CM in the shop that a lot of park visitors were disappointed because they wanted one. The CM also mentioned that they had just received the shipment of adult sizes yesterday. They are $11.50 for infant, youth and adult sizes.

Just a bit of an FYI for those of you who want one. Hope this helps! :sunny: I will post a pic of the hat later tonight.

how exciting, I will have to keep a look out, my daughter is going to need these! Thanks for the info.

If you see adults wearing those santa hats, then you know they are selling them somewhere at the park.

It's always good to ask someone who is wearing one, what store they bought it at.

Glad you found them :earsgirl:

I was at DL last week for Thanksgiving and bought the youth size (adult wasn't available at that time). They fit my little pin-head just fine! :teeth: In fact, my gold ears are youth size too. They fit me better than the adult size.

I bought a pair of these at WDW yesterday and am having them embroidered. I did get the adult size, but the day before, they only had the youth/infant (with the elastic band). DDOC got a shipment in yestesterday of the adult, so it was calling to me.

Perhaps the CM that the Op spoke to in the first store she went into was unaware that this item came in adult sizes. Remember the day when the black mouse ears did not? It is possible that the store had not received the adult hats yet at all, as these are brand spaking new. :earsboy:

Wow, they embroider them at WDW? I was told that they are unable to embroider those here at Disneyland. :confused3

I was at DL the first day of the Christmas parade and they didn't have these hats they only had traditional cone shaped santa hats with mickey ears on the side.

I thought that's what everyone was talking about. Bummer, I love these hats. They are much better than what I saw!

You could order them through Disneyland Deliev-Ears (1-800-362-4533) ::MinnieMo

AT DDOC, they have a room near the back with a vendor who does embroidery for a fee. It's $7 to have your name put on the back of the hat (black, gold, etc). You get to pick a color and print type (block, script, brush and something else). They told me it's difficult to do the Santa MM ears, but it can be done. The silver thread is a little different than what is already on the hat (not metallic), but it looks fine. I, however, chose white.

I would assume that the embroiders at LeCheapu don't do them - the machines this vendor at DDOC use are more high tech than the ones you normally see.

Wow, that's expensive! $7 seems a bit much. I think they allow you to choose what font/script you want to use for embroideries at DL, but I'm not sure if they charge a fee.

It's been awhile since I bought by DL MM ears (1998, I think), but I am pretty sure that I did not have a choice of thread color or style. Yellow script is what it is, on both my WDW & DL black ears. If fact the only difference between the two is the emblem on the front. The gold ears I have are done in white. I bought that one at the MK and the name embroidery that they do on those old sewing machines was free. The machine that they have at DDOC is much more high tech - the operator programs the font type, thread color & name, and the machine does all the work. They do hats, shirts, towels, stockings, lanyards, etc. They also do characters, again, for a fee. They do great work, and are quite busy (mostly with Christmas stockings right now). :earsboy:

Sorry, but what's DDOC? Can't seem to figure that one out! :)

I just ordered some of these. I really didn't get any souveniers for myself on our trip and I love these! It was about $18 including shipping and handling in case anyone else wants them too.

Thanks for posting the 1-800 number. I didn't realize that you could order things from the park. I thought it was buy it there or miss out.

Thanks! I love that store! I didn't know what the actual name was, though-thought it was just the Disney Christmas Store! :)

Glad you were able to order the hat! :sunny: Any time you spot something you like in DL, DCA or World of Disney in Dowtown Disney, just call up Disneyland Deliev-Ears and they will call the stores for you to see if they have what you are looking for. Even if you are looking for something in particular but aren't sure if it's in the park, just call them up. Also a good website to go to is: www.mouseshoppe.com. They are located in Anaheim, CA and are very close to the parks. ::MickeyMo
