Doing research on tickets for our upcoming visit, and discovered that I can purchase FL Resident annual passes at Shades of Green for $333. I know this affects a small group of people, but many military members do claim FL as their state of residence.

Wouldnt the DVC Annual Pass Discount be cheaper?

Not sure what benefits the Fl. resident pass affords, but when i compared prices DVC discount was cheaper than SOG.

Yes. We Florida residents save a whopping $5 with our DVC discount on AP's.

The real bargain for FL resident military folks would be the FL seasonal pass, which is about $100 less than the DVC AP price. If the blackout dates on the seasonal pass don't hurt you, you might look into that.

Am I missing something? I thought the DVC price was $334 for the annual pass?

I posted this because I'm only purchasing one annual pass, and the rest will be the regular military tickets. I thought I would have to go to two different places to buy them, to take advantage of the DVC discount, but I discovered that the military annual pass (for FL residents) was one dollar cheaper. Unless I'm missing something, Jim is right--the DVC discount isn't really of much use if you're a FL resident.

Where can I find the prices on this? I didn't see it at the SOG website. Many thanks.

Scratch that, I found it at SOG. Wow. Huge savings. That may be the ticket for us.

Here's the link.

I checked again and see where the SOG price is $1 cheaper. I would think that a $1 savings wouldnt be of much more help, especially considering SOG's accessibility if you are not staying there, but I do understand your situation and that it will be helpful to you.

I wouldnt make a special trip to SOG to save $1 on an AP, so that is why I asked. Thanks for the clarification :wizard:

Yes, the Seasonal pass is a great deal. Im not a Fl resident (yet!) but the Christmas blackout dates would be killer for us. Thanks Jim!

Me neither. However, does the DVC annual ticket price of $334.00 include tax? I don't think we have to pay tax on the tickets at SOG. That might be worth a trip over there.
