I had previously posted that my airfare from LGA to MCO early December had dropped and I called to get a voucher. Well, I checked again this week and it went down to $144! Can't beat that, so I called again and got more vouchers issued. Hoping it will go down again b/f we leave so I can get even more $$ off our next trip!

Sooo... if you need airfare from LGA to MCO in December, go for it - it may not be there for long.

Don't they charge you a fee for re-issuing the tickets? Or is the savings substantially more than the fee?

They don't re-issue the tix. I just called and said the tix were lower now and they issue a voucher. If you wanted the cheaper rate to use now, then you would have to re-issue the tix, that's where the fees come in. If you are planning to fly again in a year, then request the vouchers and use them then. Even if plans fall through and you don't fly, you are not out any money - it's just a credit you didn't use. Understand :)?

Say if the rates going down $50 to you get a $50 voucher? I love this!!!!!

I check Delta's site daily for flights in July, and today the flights went up by $5!!! I checked the seating chart and the plane is empty. Not one seat has been sold either on the outbound or incoming flights I'm looking at. What is up with that??? The fare is now $235.

I was told last year when our flights dropped in price by $5, that they could only issue one voucher, so I should hold out for a better price drop. I purchased on their website. LOVETHATMOUSE, did you purchase on the web or by phone? Maybe that is why you were able to get two vouchers.

I'm still hoping that the flights will drop in price. They have never been this high this early. Last year I booked the same time and the price was $180 for the same flights. I know there are surcharges, and the price of gas has gone up, but geesh, that's a big difference!

cindala - I booked online. They told me when I called that as long as the price drops, I can get as many vouchers as I can. You can also combine them (i.e. DH has 2, I have 2, DD has 2, so now we each can combine them for our individual tix) on future passes. Maybe they changed their regulations?

Thanks for the info! I just checked again today, and the fare went down $20 to $215. Better, but still high for our dates. You can bet I'll keep checking.::yes::

So is this only available on Delta or do other airlines give these vouchers? Our flights on American have dropped as well...

I have gotten vouchers from American.Actually American was much easier to use.I just needed tocall to get them, then book the flight and mail them the vouchers within 7 day. On Delta I had to go to a ticket office to get them but they were evouchers so I could book on the phone.
