FYI August travelers...EMH hours changed slightly

JJohnson, I just compared the Disney park times for each park to the park times published on this site and noted the following differences during the period of August 14th through the 19th:

Magic Kingdom:
August 15th Disboards shows 9:00 - 10:00 EMH/PM vs Disney 9:00 - 10:00

Animal Kingdom:
August 14th Disboards shows 9:00 - 6:00 vs Disney 9:00 - 5:00
August 15th Disboards shows 9:00 - 6:00 vs Disney 9:00 - 5:00

Who is right? I assume it is Disney. Anyone know why there is a descrepancy?

The boards haven't been updated. I just checked the hours on the WDW site last week & they were the same as the boards. It just changed in the past couple of days on the WDW site.

Ok. I just checked AK yesterday morning on the WDW site & they were 9-6. Now its changed to 9-5.

I guess they think it's going to be a slow week.

I just hope no other EMH hours change. It's really going to mess up my ADR's.

So Disney prevails!

Question: Use the following example: Animal Kingdom shows park hours to be 9:00 to 6:00 with EMH/evening. Does that mean that if you are a Disney Resort guest the park is open to you until 7? or is the extra hour already built into the 5 to 6 period?

Need to know for PS arrangements.

The PM EMHs are for three(3) hours. So if AK's posted hours are 9-6 & there is a PM/EMH that day, the park will stay open for *WDW resort guests only* until 9pm that night. (The AM EMHs are the ones that open a park to WDW resort guests one hour earlier that the general public.)

That's amazing on the PM EMH! So if MK is scheduled to close at 10 PM and it is scheduled for PM EMH it closes for guests at 1 AM?! Sounds too good to be true! Thanks Agnes!
