I have never been to WDW during EPCOT's FWF, but it will be going on during our entire trip this year.

1. Is EPCOT a lot more crowded during FWF, and if so do you notice longer lines at the attractions?

2. Can you use your DDP credits for food at the FWF, and if so how does that work?

3. What are some of your favorite FWF kiosks from years past?

TIA!

Epcot is MUCH more crowded, especially on the weekends. Expect to wait at least 10 minutes per que--at least. Lines for attractions did not seem to be THAT much worse.

1) Yes, Epcot is more crowded during F&W; you'll notice it the most on the weekends and in the evenings. We typically do our food & wine snacking late morning / early afternoon towards the beginning of the week.

2) In years past guests have been allowed to use their DDP snack credits to purchase food items at the booths. You may not use them for alcohol. It works pretty simply ... 1 credit = 1 food item; there has never been a price cap (you can use a credit for the $7 lobster roll or the $2 kiwi tart or anything in between).

3) Our favorites from last year included the Cheesemonger booth, Spain, New Orleans, New Zealand, San Francisco, Greece, Italy, and others that I can't recall right now.

There will usually be about 25 booths, give or take, and they usually have two-to-three food samples and a couple of wine and / or beer samples.

Good times! :thumbsup2

A picture is worth...you get the idea. You see the little purple logos next to the food items? Those are the DDP logos. You'll notice, as Brenda just pointed out, that the food has the logo; the booze does not. From what I remember, most kiosks seemed to allow any food item per snack credit, so you should be ok.

Often someone will post a list of the kiosk offerings here. Check out the sticky thread about the festival in September, just before the festival opens on the final weekend. We're currently talking about the paid events in that thread now, but I'm sure we'll eventually talk about the kiosk snackables. :cutie:

BriarRose, thanks for the "thousand words" and for the advice about the sticky. I'll check that out and subscribe so I can get updates.
