Hello, All!

Which is better for dinner one night?

Wilderness Lodge (featuring the All You Can Eat Skillet) or Fort Wilderness' Trails End Buffet?

We won't be on the DP. I see that FW is cheaper, but is it good?

Thanks!!

We ate at fort wilderness buffet during our Sept. trip and it was aweful. The food was almost inedible and the service was terrible. We also ate at the Wilderness Lodge (however, not the skillet) and enjoyed our meal and the entertainment.

IMHO, I would return to WL but, never would I go back to Fort Wilderness Trails end buffet.

I hope this helps.

Never ate at Trail's End before but I have eaten at WCC. We weren't crazy about the sides with the skillet and the sausage was dry. DH found the chicken a little dry but the ribs were to die for. We filled up on those. I did learn one thing though "Don't add BBQ sauce to something unless you taste it first". Their sauce wasn't very good. But we did have a good time eating up those ribs. We left the place stuffed.

We've eaten at both. We found our experience the same as yours at Trail's End (except the service was not bad). We enjoyed the meal at Whispering Canyon Cafe, however, we found the service to be bad. But, I should also add that we came at the tail end of lunch time so they were trying to rush us out. We did get the skillet and when we asked for more of something you could tell that the waiter was hoping we'd just finish up and leave (they close between lunch and dinner). Then he brought our dessert (and the bill) out while we were still eating our meal. My DH wants to give WCC another try at a different time of the day, but he says he won't return to Trail's End again.

We went at the end of lunch service and our waitress kept stopping by asking if we wanted more of something and she brought it promptly. She smiled the whole time. It was quiet and not many people were there but no one was rushed at all. That was on Dec 4.
