Morning,
I know that you can book your reservation spot 499 days ahead but how far out can you push your existing reservation? We are looking at Oct 22. If the covid is worse etc, how far ahead are we allowed to push our reservation? A year? When I first talked to a cast member to confirm the 499 days, they mentioned that we could push ahead but gave an example of 3 months.
Any info would be greatly appreciated!!

dizneygirl55,

I'm not aware of any limit or reason that you can't push out an existing reservation to the max/499 limit. Of course there has to be availability during the new set of dates but deposits, reservation numbers, I think all that carries along to the new dates. My own personal experience is that I've pushed it out a year before with no issues. Your rates move to whatever rates are valid for that new period. If you had a discount offer being used, it only carries forward if you still match the terms of the offer (and the offer is available on the new dates).

Reminder, though, that this is for a campsite-only reservation and not a package. Packages have their own separate set of rules which I'm not at all familiar with.

This is essentially a cancel/add type of move with the only benefit (and not a big one at that) of using the same reservation number. FWIW a cancel/add is a "Plan B" alternative if for some reason this isn't allowed. You get your deposit back and make a new deposit so that part is a wash.

Good luck with your decision.

PS - and technically I believe the booking window is 499 nights/500 days. Now the counter starts with your ARRIVAL day as day 1 and you can book up to a maximum 30 day reservation.

Only problem is, at least as of couple of months ago, they weren't allowing reservations that far ahead. When they locked down, they closed them all, then they've been opening up the dates in batches. But if you can make a new reservation for your desired days, you should be able to postpone to then

We do packages. You can move your package around as long as the package prices for your 'new' dates are known so they know what to charge you for the change. It used to be they released the rates for the next 365 days around June of each year but I'm not sure if that's still the case.
