Our nephew in his 40's has brain cancer. He just went through radiation up in Boston wearing that headgear for direct hits on the cancer cells. He's home now and we have a trip he wants to take with his DW and kids to WDW in oct set up.
Is there anything I need to know that Disney might help us with. He wants to stay at FW so I already booked a spot in loop 100/300 and booked a golf cart too.

Does anybody know if we can rent a trailer or RV on site or have one brought in for the trip and set up on site?

I would strongly suggest a cabin if he wants to stay at FW. To rent a trailer or RV would have to be done off-site and will cost more than the FW cabin would cost. And then you would have all the hassle of dealing with it.

Also, how big is the family, (ages & sex of the kids)? Need that for further suggestions.

You can rent RVs from offsite, check the camping forum just below Disabilites for some names, but it will likely be more expensive than a cabin. You say you have reserved loop 100 or 300, those loops are different catergories of campsites and with every other Disney resort you can request a loop(room) but cannot reserve a specific loop, only a type(partial hook up, full hook up, preffered or premium.
I think you would be better off with a cabin, it will have regular maid service and standard plumbing, RVs have no maid service and plumbing does require some user involvment, depending on how long you stay holding tanks may need empting during your stay.

Here is information about the FW Cabins http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/resorts/cabins-at-fort-wilderness-resort/rates-rooms/ . If you decide to stay at FW you will definitely be better off with a cabin rather than renting a trailer or RV from off-site.

Actually, I would really suggest Wilderness Lodge with a room with a queen and a set of bunk beds.

One real problem with FW, as opposed to any other Resort, is transportation is very difficult. If you use the Disney bus system you have to change between the Park buses and the Resort Internal buses.

thanks everyone for yout help. My nephew and his wife are expert campers and they want to do this with their 2 kids. Tried talking them out of it. We are getting a preferred loop 100/200/300. Already talk to disney twice about these sites and that's where we will be in one of these loops. We're looking at Tina EDmonds RV rentals. cost is under $1000 for 5 nts, they set up and take down. 32FT er only thing we need is food and clothing.
anybody heard of them?

Since they are expert campers and enjoy it I would ask the folks on the camping disboard. They have answered my questions and are very helpful.

We are on are way to Fort but it will be are first time there so I am not of much help.

Glad they are getting set-up take-down service.
