Coming south on the Florida Turnpike, what is the easiest way to get into FW with a motorhome? What exits etc? Thank you,JCA1970 :confused3

Get off the turnpike at I-4. Head toward Orlando.
Get off I-4 at Exit 64-B (hwy 192)
On 192, go to World Dr. (it's the next exit) and turn right in DW
Go all the way to the Magic Kingdom toll booths (stay in the right lanes here)
When you go through you will exit to the right on Vista Blvd.
You should be seeing signs for FW.
The fort will be about a mile down on your left. :thumbsup2

Thank you for the information, it will be a big help. We will be coming from Michigan. JCA1970

Glad to help. We just got home Sunday night. :sad1:

When you check in, there will be a booklet they'll give you called "Your Handy Guide to All the Magic". In there will be a map of all of DW. Keep this with you if you drive your vehicle around much. The streets of DW are poorly marked. Fortunately, if you stay in DW, you can take the busses, monorails, or boats anywhere you want to go. We were there 8 nights and drove my truck only twice (Wal-Mart and grocery store). If you call Disney, they might be able to send you a copy of the map before you leave.

Have a great trip. :sunny:

I have an alternate suggestion for you:

Before April

Take I-75S to Florida Turnpike (Toll), take Florida Turnpike to 429S (Toll). This currently dead ends into 192. Take 192E to World Drive, Follow World Drive Through Magic Kingdom Toll Booth, far right, then follow signs to Ft. Wilderness.

After April

Take I-75S to Florida Turnpike (Toll), take Florida Turnpike to 429S (Toll). Exit at Western Way (Direct Road to Disney World). Follow Signs to Magic Kingdom, through Magic Kingdom Toll Booth, far right, then follow signs to Ft. Wilderness.

We took this new toll road this weekend. It cut about 10 miles and 1/2 hour off of our trip. The Western Way entrance to DisneyWorld should be open sometime in April.

Thank you also. We will be down the end of March.JCA1970

Does 429s intersect 192 between the Orange lake complex and the Publix store ?
I was hoping to come that way in March. I like the idea of avoiding 27.

Thanks
Scott

429 does intersect with 129 right at the Publix. We didn't stop there, so I can't tell you how to actually get into the parking lot, but it is right there.

I have always gone down I 75 to Turnpike to I 4 to Disney, but last year on this site someone said Hiway 535 was a back way and cut off that Heavy I 4 traffic. So, we went that way and they were right 535 to Vista Blvd and to FW. 535 comes off the turnpike and it comes into Disney on the east side by FW, you have to exit hiway 50. I did see all the construction on Western Way and that might be the faster way later on. I did save at least a hour+ by going 535.
