What does it mean when the sites are "in" or "out"? We've got a full hookup for October and I can't remember which direction is which. TIA

Ok, I think I figured out its inside the loop and outside the loop.....

next questions are..... which one is the preferred and why?

how far out can I make a request?

is it possible to get a specific site number?

"Out" site might tend to be bigger since the land spreads out that way. You cannot guarantee a specific site, but you can request certain parameters you need...close to bus stop, close to CS, quiet area for children, etc. You can request certain loops, but again, you are not guaranteed to get that. e if the place is crowded.You usually get a certain type of loop, based on how much you pay, but even that is subject to change. Make a reservation as soon as you know when you can travel...up to 500 days. You can always cancel extra days if they are not needed. It's easier to cancel than to add.

100 200 300(pet) are preferred. This refers to their location,, close to the marina. The full hookup sites 1600 - 1900 are closer to the middle,, pool, playground, trading post. I prefer 1600 and 1700.

You can place a request for a loop when you reserve. Then about 5 days out you can fax a request direct to Ft Wilderness.

Thank you so much for the info. We'll need to be close to a CS for the kids. I found the Google Earth file that's great, too. I've done several searches and cannot find the list of loops and whether they're premium, preferred, etc. It showed that 1600-1900 were full hookups, etc. We've got a AAA full hookup reserved and I'm leaning toward the 1600 loop, but am wondering if it's worth it to bump up a level and which loops it would put us in? Any thoughts? TIA

Bumping up a level would be preferred, 100 200 300.
Bumping up 2 levels would be premium, 400 through 1400.
You might not be able to keep your AAA discount.
