Sorry it took me so long to reply!
kc&dmom - My kids never get to go swimming at home, and they wouldn't know a themed pool if it bit them in the behind! LOL
A pool is a pool, they LOVED the pool by the cabins. They were bummed they only got to go once.
We stayed 5 nights, and DH was concerned that a "trailer" would be small, but it doesn't feel that way and he was pleasantly surprised. It is much bigger than the basic hotel room. Check out the sq. footage of the hotels sometime. All Stars is 200 something Sq. ft., and the cabins are 500 something sq. ft., I think. The ONLY thing that would have been nice is 2 bathrooms, especially when the stomach flu hit, but we didn't have that at any other hotels on our trip, so we just dealt with it. Not worth double the price to get a dvc villa, not yet anyway! LOL
Kitchen is awesome, and I was SO spoiled by leaving my dirty dishes in the sink in the morning and coming home to clean dishes in the dishwasher, courtesy of housekeeping.

We made breakfast in the morning, snacks at night, and two dinners. If we had stayed longer we probably would have eaten more in the cabin.
We did not rent a golf cart and never needed one. If you were going to stay at the resort all day and do different things you might want one, but really, the buses go everywhere you need to go. I don't think it is worth the extra expense.
Shelleyz - We drove our own van to WDW, but did not dirve it again until we left. Parked at our cabin and used the buses.
