Well, we were supposed to be at the Fort right now, in a tent, but we had to cancel due to dh's work. As it turns out, we would have been pretty chilly sleeping in a tent right now!! :cold: :cold: :cold: :cold: !!!
So....we have booked a cabin for mid-Janurary. We will be flying this time so we didn't want to bring the camping stuff, plus it will probably be even colder.
Where can I find a list of all the items in the cabin kitchens? We have stayed DVC before, but I think the cabin kitchen is smaller (which is fine) and I just want to know what kind of cooking utensils, etc. they have so I can think about meals. TIA....Lacee
We are looking forward to getting to do all the things at the Fort, we were sorry we had to postpone....

Just stayed in cabin this past August. Kitchen supplies are very basic but nonetheless were fine for our needs.
Few pots, pan, forks, spoons, knives.
Also 6 drinking glasses and coffee cups.
Basic appliances like a toaster and coffee pot, dishwasher, sink.
We traveled with our 3 yo DS and 4 month old DD so it was nice to have a kitchen for breakfasts and bottles, etc..
Hope this helps!!!

I didn't see a toaster on the list.

You may wish to bring small paper cups for the bathroom, salt and pepper, and foil or maybe a cookie sheet for pizzas or cookies if they're on your menur.

There is a toaster on the list. Its listed under the appliances.

I see it now. Thanks so much!

We are staying in the cabin's for a week in April. Thanks to all the information we have learned on these boards, we are doing a one day car rental and will head out to a grocery store after our arrival. :moped: Eggos and the like are on DS's list of breakfast items, so the toaster will come in handy! :thumbsup2

Before you spend money on a one day car rental, you might want to just head down to the Ft. Wilderness store and see what they have. You'll be surprised at the selection, and unless you're staying for five days or more, it won't save you any money to rent a car and drive off site for groceries.
