FW Cabins using cash

Can anyone who has booked through Disney using cash (not points) to stay in the new FW Cabins tell me whether this qualifies for extended evening hours? I find what is published on the EEH page a bit confusing as it says DVC cabins only, and as far as I am aware this is what we booked using cash, our email says “The Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort - A Disney Vacation Club Resort” but I don’t know if the footnote about DVC cabins only means you must have booked via DVC. Can anyone advise based on their experience?

I just found this out myself. I didn't realize it counted, I found a blog about it (the blog did say it didn't matter how you were paying as long as you were staying in a DVC cabin you were good. I don't think at this point there is any other kind?!?) and then went to the WDW site to confirm. I am thinking I will ask when I get there to confirm but was also hoping to see what others have experienced.

Thanks everyone, much appreciated. I am not DVC and we only visit very 4-5 years and so much changes between visits. When I booked the cabin (first day they were available to book by cash) they were still listed under moderate resorts. Much (if not all) of my knowledge about the parks comes from the disboards, and I just wanted to clarify before planning my EEH nights - I didn’t want to be disappointed due to misunderstanding.

That makes me a bit antsy and I was wondering the same thing about whether it qualifies if it wasn't booked through DVC....
Just like any DVC Resort option regardless of how you pay they qualify. Cash, Points Stay, Points Rental, etc... all qualify for EEH.

How did this end up working out for you? I understand that the DVC cabins are the only ones available now but the official WDW EEH website still has that message about "(The extended evening theme park hours benefit applies to Disney Vacation Club Cabins only.)"

I can confirm as cash customers staying in a DVC cabin (at the time of booking we could have booked old or new cabin) we were able to access EEH, specifically at Epcot. Note when we arrived there seemed to be no option for an old cabin as they were all gone by Christmas week.

Yes all the legacy (old cabins) that were available for booking like a hotel room at WDW are now gone. The 2700 loop of legacy cabins (which was the last loop of those available into December 2024) are being removed and replaced with DVC cabins.
