I hope so, too. (They are my kids' favorite place to stay.) But I doubt it. I think they will be like the family suites at the All-Stars and have their own pricing category.
I called yesterday and they said no changes in pricing.
This is really more about the marketinf and them wanting to get people to book them and more. By moving them to a moderate they will get seen more.
There are a few threads about this as well, and the general consensus is (someone even called) that the prices will NOT go down. Disney is just trying to increase awareness.

I do not think prices will lower either.
Just because a resort is in a certain catagory does not mean it will be priced the same.
The monorail and Epcot deluxes are more expensive than AKL and WL.
Also remember the cabins sleep 6 and any WDW room that sleeps 6 is quite pricey.
The jr suites at CSR (a moderate resort )sleep 6 and start at $340 a night during value season.
The Family Suites at All Star Music (a value resort) start at $184 during value
season.
The Cabin is 504 square feet , they sleep 6 and have full kitchen also.
The standard mod rooms are 314-340 square feet, sleep 4 ( POR-AB does sleep 5) and they have no kitchen.
I highly doubt the cabins would be priced the same as a standard mod room.
We loved the cabins we stayed there our first 3 trips to the world.
Pros:
Lots of space: Our kids were little and they had their own bedroom, Dh & I took the pull down bed in the living room.
Individual cabins: Not a lot of worry about noise.
Grounds: very peaceful and it seemed to us, since we went in August that the campgrounds were so cool after a long hot day in the park.
Full size kitchen. I don't cook a lot on vacation but since we are not morning people, it was great not having to rush every one out to get breakfast. Also we brought water bottles, froze them at night and had cold water all day in the parks.
Cons:
Pools are not themed. simple basic pools. My kids loved them though. When we first went Ft. Wilderness had it's own water park.
Bus service: You have to take an internal bus to get to your loop, the park buses just drop you off at the trading post. Many people rent scooters but this can get costly. Our 2nd trip, we requested a loop near the trading post and simply walked to catch a park bus.
I personally think there is no better place to stay at Disney than at Fort Wilderness. Growing up, my parents had a Winnebago and we camped there every spring. I stayed in a cabin a couple years ago and was dissapointed in the price. I came across a company that rents fifth wheels, brings the RV to the site and sets up for you. when you're done they come and pack everything up. The company is called "Camp at the Fort'
Just an FYI to watch for sales - on a previous post I priced out a night for a FW Cabin on the WDW website using the latest deal listed, and it came up @ $179 plus tax for that date (using the code).
I thought that was pretty good as every little bit of savings helps!
