Our first time going to the cabins. I'd love to see what is done down there for Christmas decorations. We won't actually be there for Christmas (just the 3-9th) but we celebrate St. Nick's Day and I'd like to give it a home-y feel for that, for the kids :)

Anyone have pictures of decorations of the past - or ideas? :)

What can be done?

(We decorated our room at the Nick Hotel last year for Halloween, so I'm excited about the potential here)

Oh - and we're driving our vehicle, so space isn't too much an issue (though, obviously, we won't need a tree in there!) :)

The check-in building is decorated as are the trading post and restaurants. Lots of people bring wreaths and decorations for the cabins. It truly is a sight to behold.

I'm sorry that I don't have pictures. Maybe a google search would help.

We just got back from the cabins on Tuesday. People had golf carts decorated for Halloween. I'm so jealous that we didn't think of it. :teeth:

To give you an idea of what to expect. We try to reserve a night just to tour the campgrounds to look at all of the decorated sites! You will find MANY of the sites loaded with decorations. The air-blown outside decorations seem to be very popular as well as lights of any sort. Some even have those computers hooked into a sound system for an awesome timed display.
Don't forget the Golf Cart Carolers, if they pass your loop have some cookies
ready!

We're arriving a few days after you and we are planning on:

-wrapping lights around the deck (not forgetting an outside ext. cord)

-putting lighted window decorations in the front two windows (with more ext. cords, I know one window has a plug right there, can't remember the other one)

-a wreath on the front door, if I can find one that's easy to pack.

-lights lining the driveway, although we will have both a car and a golf cart so I'm not sure about this one (don't want to chance of running them over and ruining them) If not, hopefully we will have an easily decoratable tree close by.

-since we have a golf cart, I want to wrap garland/battery operated lights around the top.

-I also want to try to find a mini predecorated tree for the kitchen table.
