FW cabin questions

This is our 1st trip to the cabins. Will we be able to view wishes fireworks from the beach there?A recent post stated it took 1 hr to get to MK by boat from FW? How is the fishing? How much do the bikes cost to rent? We are really excited about htis trip. Is the full EWP back? Any help appreciated. 34 days to go, oh how slow it seems.

I have seen the fireworks from one of the beaches there, on the hayride we went & watched them. It's not like viewing them from the Poly beach, but still visible.
It does not take an hour for the boat to get to MK! We haven't stayed there since 1998 (3x there to that point) But,what we did then & all things are subject to change with WDW - We walked about 1 minute to a bus stop. Waited about 5 minutes for a bus to the restaurant/store/marina/dock area (Settlement?) From there, about a 2-3 minute walk to the boat dock. Then about 5-10 minute wait for a boat. about a 10 minute boat ride to MK. So, about a half hour average. I suppose if you had supremely bad timing, it could take you closer to an hour, but that would be rare.....

I can't answer your other questions as it's been 7 years since our last visit there. Bikes were cheap. Golf carts were expensive.

We did love FW Cabins & may stay there in Dec when we take DSS & family, including grandchildren. It's a great resort for young kids. Enjoy!

We were there in May. It never took us close to an hour! We had a golf cart. It was about 5 min to get to the boat launch with the cart. Less than 5 min to park it and walk to the dock. There was almost always a boat waiting. The most we ever waited was about 5 min. The ride took took 10 to 15 minutes to get to MK depending on how many people were getting on at the Wilderness Loge.

Yes, you can see the fireworks from the beach. We didn't fish or rent biles. I think I read that EWP is full length now, but I'm not sure.

FYI..try looking at the camping board. Lots of info there about FW cabins. We stayed there in March. Had a blast. A golf cart will make your life so much easier if its in the budget. It never took us an hour to get to MK! No way!
You'll be able to find your answers about bike rentals and stuff like that over on the camping boards. They will be able to give you a good link to all the FW information.

And BTW..the Trails End Buffet is one of the best kept secrets. Great food. Great price.

Thanks everyone for the information. Unfortunately, golf cart rental is really not in our budget,anyway, we have a rental car to go to the other boats. I just figured it would be nice to use the boat to go to MK. In all the years that we have gone to WDW, we always said it would be nice to stay at a resort that had a boat,we always envied those families that did not have to go to the parking lots from MK. I have also heard great reviews about the trails end. My DH just loves buffets. Thanks again everyone. 33 days to go. Hope the weather is just as nice as it has been for the last week or two.
