For someone who has maybe stayed at both, what would your comparison be? I am really in love with the idea of the home away from home resort so that my family of 4 (including two toddlers) would have that separate bedroom. Last time we all stayed at the WL and eventhough we loved the resort, it was really hard getting the kids settled down at night b/c we were all in the same room. My original plan was the poly but I am concerned as mentioned above. Am I crazy to bypass the poly for the extra room?

OKW is great. The one bedroom is huge and you can put your kids down to sleep in the bedroom while you and hubby watch TV in the living room or sit out on the porch (it's huge, too). It's not as rustic as the cabins and much more space. You have a king sized bed in the bedroom, whirlpool jacuzzi in the bathroom, washer and dryer.

I can tell you that the transportation at the campground is terrible. Nothing worse than getting dropped off at your bus stop and having to walk all the up to your cabin smack in the middle of the loop in the pouring rain with 3 young children...one in a stroller.... I did it once & won't do it again...my husband wants to do them again (haven't done them since 1995) and I really don't want to. I know many people love them..but it wasn't my idea of a good time...also didn't like the fact that the pool was soooo far from the cabin....and the pool wasn't anything special...for what you pay for a cabin, you are better off somewhere else.... like I said...just my opinion and many will differ from me.

I'd go with OKW but I'm a little biased LOL;)

OKW is beautiful and you can park right outside your villa. You'll also get the King size bed in the MB, a laundry room with full size w/d and a jacuzzi tub. So you get a bit more with staying at OKW. That being said though - you may want to decide by which is going to cost you more $$. If OKW isn't going to kill your pocket book - than it is well worth it. Plus you may be paying a bit more but you are getting a bit more. The cabins I hear are very nice though and may be more affordable. HTH's:wave:

Just wanted to add -- this is all assuming you are talking about getting a 1bdrm villa at OKW. If you are only talking about a studio at OKW than you would not be getting the separate bedroom in which case I'd go with the cabins so that you have that extra room;)
