FW Amenities

Hello fellow DIS members

I will be in the Disney area next month with family (DH, DS9, DD5) and am not in a position to finance a trip to the Parks. I am considering booking a night at FW to add a little bit of Disney Magic to our trip!

I'm sure the kids would enjoy the playground, swimming pools and even just the ferry boats to MK and other resorts during the day. At night we could go to the campfire sing-along and watch the outdoor movie.

I understand we can also see the EWP (which I have NOT seen yet) and Wishes fireworks from the beach. Is the music fo these piped into the beach? If not, is there a place I can download the music so I have it on our phone to play?


I know with other resorts, you get the full check-in and check-out day to use the amenities, does anyone know if this is also true for FW?

Anyone think I'm crazy for spending money on just the amenities of the campground? I am a bit concerned if there were some bad weather (end of March) that we would have wasted our hard earned dollars.

I think it is a great idea, any day at WDW and especially FW is great. You can see Wishes and the EWP from the beach and the last time I was there the music was piped in. I do know you have to be out of the site/cabin by a certain time, but you still can use the FW amenities. Go and have fun!

Crazy? : Then so are the rest of us.

Last summer I stayed in a condo in St Pete. We drove over to WDW for the day just to go to DTD and ride the bus to the Fort to get our "fix". We rode the internal buses down to the Settlement. Took the boat to MK, then back to the CR and finally to DTD.

It was almost like actually staying... Well, not really, but we at least could say we were there.
