Outside of the upcoming DVC resorts, what ideas do you have for future resorts?

I've said it before, I'll say it again. A Star Wars themed resort. I prefer the Death Star. I know Disney could make that look so cool!!! :thumbsup2

Would love a Star Wars themed resort as well.

I hope they add a moderate, specifically one that offered more 5 and 6 person stay flexibility. Something like they did with the AoA family suites, but at the moderate resorts would be nice.

We really saw some limitations in the recent Oct/Nov/Dec free dining promotion for us this year, in that they have a very limited number of 5 person moderate to start with and even on day 1, we saw zero available for the free dining promotion.

We were lucky enough to be able to move up to Deluxe for this trip, but if not, we would have been staying off site, or in in the Cabins.

I agree about the moderates. I would think the idea of family suites similar to AoA within the moderates would have come up.

Personally i think an "Avatar Them" would b cool as well but I'd definitely take a star wars theme. Can you imagine how crazy it would be during star wars week?:cool1:

Maybe a moderate resort that offers 1 and 2 bedroom villas. They could make a moderate version I am sure of the deluxe ones. I think they just plain need another moderate resort.

I'd like to see a Star Wars themed moderate...also, why not a value themed just around the Fab Five?

I'd like a King Arthur castle on the monorail line between Epcot and the MK. Then you could ride the monorail to either MK or Epcot. The castle would be a luxury resort with royal themed rooms. I have always wanted to stay in Cinderella's castle, but it probably is never going to happen.

There could be moderate priced outer buildings for the various knights of the round table. They could collectively constitute the village or town of Camelot. Merlin and Morgana could be featured in 'magical' ways. Princesses for the girls and knights for the boys. Elegant coaches and dragons fit in side by side so that you could have 'cool' and 'pretty' both available at the same resort.

I think the idea of a Star Wars themed Resort would be a blast. But honestly if it is created, I do not see this being anything but a Deluxe hotel. The thing would literally be cash cow, and you would have people going to Disney World for no other reason then to stay at that resort.

Even if they built the resort in moderate fashion, I think it would still be considered a Deluxe and priced according to that.

I believe a Star Wars themed hotel is very likely. Considering the massive amount of cash Disney spent to get the rights they will want a return on their investment. A "Death Star" hotel would be ultimate. Personally, they should locate it near DHS...not an easy task since there isn't much land to be had that way however, if anyone can do it...Disney can. I would expect this to be in the Moderate to Deluxe range depending on what they plan to offer.

I would love to see a Star Wars themed restaurant w/Star Wars characters. Could you imagine eating lunch and Darth Vader visits your table? Too cool!

I would love to see some thing with the original characters like Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Pluto.

Maybe a ranch or circus type thing!:thumbsup2

I would love this as well. Pluto is my favorite and he is seemingly thrown to the wayside.

Star Wars would be great of course, and it would be even better if it was a Mod !!!

I think people are overstating the value of the "suites" at AoA ...

They should NOT bring those to a Mod, why not ? The price !!! Those things are not cheap by any means. Its actually considerably cheaper to get 2 value rooms then getting a family suite. If they brought them to a mod, I would imagine they would cost about the price of a deluxe, and then, why bother ?

Not that I need it (since I live up North in Canada) But they could do a winter themed resort, that could be cool.

A classic characters resort would be great as well, Mickey, Minnie etc :)

Was thinking of the WS and why not the same for resorts, could have a Colonial Inn for USA and Bavarian Inn for Germany, An Outpost for Canada etc.

All with the original characters at each.:cheer2:
