Future of VMK (Looks Great for DISers)

As school comes back VMK changes also! Most of the users are students and will not be on during weekdays mostly. I am sure some changes will occur here they are

Attendance after Labor Day will drop to probably 700 guests during the day at 1PM but by Sep.31 this should be at 350 Maximum! I would guess around 275 guests on at 1PM on the average school day. As kids leave VMK on the weekdays the weekends will surely be packed. I would think around 2600 players will be on the average Friday night. Also I think the juvenile VMK things like BF/GF will have some brutal weekends of tons of these rooms. But I think by December they are history. Most kids will spend a fraction of the time that they do now on VMK.

Also I would think celebrations would become more crowded along with Disney Channel TV Ads rumored. I can guess 3000 for the next school
time weekend celebration. Also I think the weekends will draw up to 4000
if ads start being seen etc.

The holidays on VMK I can say will probably be magical. Imagine This!

Halloween Celebration with a Frontierland Opening and Ghost Chasers tournaments. Also VMK sells costumes for one week for all players to
dress up like Stitch etc. Limitied Edition Pins and a 'real' parade also.

Also Trick or Treat on VMK!

Thanksgiving Celebration with special Thanksgiving pins and costumes.
Also VMK would sell decorations for rooms etc. Also a VMK Turkey Dinner.
Join VMK players on Thanksgiving Eve for a virtual Thanksgiving!

Christmas Time on VMK!!!

Christmas Time on VMK- Everything on VMK is decorated even your friend list with holiday decorations. Also Santa becomes a NPC for a limited time!! Along with this I imagine limited time costumes being sold during this time. Also buy trees for you room ! Along with this sends all your VMK friends the seasons greetings!

December 23rd on VMK- Tomorrowland Christmas Themed Opening! Space Mountain gone Christmas! Also Christmas parties set up for everyone all over Tomorrrowland. Give all of your buddies virtual gifts during this celebration! Also a badge for attendees saying ' Christmas in Tomorrowland 2005'! Also much more holiday stuff!

THE HOLIDAYS WILL BE MAGICAL ON VMK BUT PLEASE LETS SKIP VALENTINES DAY!!

Also I see the idea of bogus VMK rides fading out with adults just not falling for it!

I would not be suprised to see VMK with around 95 players a few times during the busy work and school year!

Also I think many new friendships will be formed with 'weekday' users!

Some VMK players leaving especially newcomers or extremely young kids.

I think VMK will change for the good very soon!

While I understand that many of the issues are typically caused by children, I do not entirely agree with this post. Not all problems in VMK are the result of unsupervised players. There are countless kids on there that are well behaved and mannered such as Vellamint's son, for instance. Also, these kids are in it for what we are: to have fun.

I think blaming all of VMK's problems on young kids is a little bit of a stretch, but this is my own opinon.

I'm afraid I have to DISagree with you. VMK was designed for kids and I have met some great kids over the past month. My daughter loves being there and is even getting her homework done early so she can spend time there . A lot of the DISers have been so great to her.

Personally, I will miss them.

I love your ideas for future events for VMK and *sort of* see where you're going with the younger players on VMK. Some kids are really suprising and you shouldn't discount someone because they're younger...some don't fit the stereotype of annoying "give me magic" and "are you taken" tweens! If anything, you'll also be losing the more responsible teens who hang out with the adults who also add much to the magical experience on VMK.

I do know that my VMK time will be greatly reduced during the school year...the reason I've been on so long lately is so I can get my fix before my nightmarish school year starts. I think Fly will only be a sight to be seen on Friday nights, and Saturday and Sunday mornings when that "educational" things starts.

I don't mind the young players because I just don't listen. I have a lot of fun playing the game so I am going to continue for a long time.

I know that I will get more VMK time while DS(1) takes his nap and ds(11) is at school, (1-2pm). He is not permitted on VMK until all of his homework is done. I periodically glance over my shoulder as I watch him. He is really into trading. He and this other player ilikecheese spend hours trading with each other, and just giving each other stuff to fix up their rooms. I know my son has had some young girls in his room who were annoying him or talking ignorantly, and he gives them the boot.

By the way, I encountered a girl yesterday and her sig said little dis member. She was dressed in the new princess outfit and was very nice and polite in her conversations.

The polite very young kids are great on VMK. But I mean the BF/GF room owners and kids doing rooms like Girls Gone Wild. I would never want those really sweet 7 year olds to leave ever. Also enjoying VMK without one wait for a room would be great.

Also I am sure people that are still playing on school days for 15 hours will see tons of new stuff being worn by the developers. I would think these really may even have a sneak peek of the new lands!

Blaming kids for VMK problems is insane and we never kno how many inmature adults are doing this stuff.

I too will be one to miss the kids when they return to school. Half of my friends list are kids I play with every day. (Ah the second childhood is better than the first!) When that school bell rings, I will be in severe vmk withdrawal!

I am a kid in school and I will be on at 3:00 everyday for at least an hour. If not I will just do the daily clicks for credits. No matter what I will always play VMK though I am even going to tell my friends!
