Future Dis'er in Training!!

Today I was killing time before I had to go pick up my oldest son from preschool. My baby was sleeping in the stroller so my middle son (age 3 1/2) and I walked around a few stores. We still had time to waste and the next closest store was Home Depot. I figure that this is a great time to peruse the paint section….after all I do need to repaint his room . So we go over and I casually mention to Carter “oh look there’s the paint section…lets go see if we can find a color for your room.” So he runs right up to the Mickey’s!! I casually pick up a flyer of the themes and look it over (don’t want to draw suspicion after all) and then turn it over as if I really am looking at the colors….I then take a few colors and grab another catalog and do the same. Wouldn’t you know it though those darn things stuck together and I ended up with five or so of each color!! They really need to fix that! I tuck the colors in the flyer and say “okay Carter we have a few samples to match to your stuff….we should go get your brother.” I look and he has a few Mickey’s himself (smart boy!!!). So we leave and when we get back in the car I say “what colors did you get?” and he shows me….all six he grabbed were the alien green!!!! I had seen him pick up various colors but he put them back and grabbed the green ones!! I need to take him there more often!!!

Just goes to show, "you can never be to young to understand the importance of proper Dising!!" Great job mom!!

When we went to HD to get our last supply, my DD 13 I guess had never paid attention to them being free before and when she seen me stick them in my purse she went into heart failure....I thought she was freaking out over the amount of them I took...but as soon as we found my DH who was off in another section, she tried to rat me out for stealing. We just laughed and I tried to explain to her they were free samples but even at age 13 she was willing to have me get busted....she wouldn't walk out side with me she was scared I was going to be arrested or something. We still make fun of her for it everytime we go pass the HD.

That is great dawn!! Carter is catching on fast. I need to run over there and get me some more to put up in my office at work!
