Along with the block out dates for AK described in the new Florida Resident Discover tickets (May 27th through June June 9th) The Cast Member's block out dates calendar for May came out, and again, they are blocked out from using their Main Entrance Pass to go to AK May 20th through the end of May (June calendar will come out March 1st)

OMG if it does open on those dates then I've a great idea :jumping1:

As the Dis guys will be reviewing it anyway and as it's co-insides with the Dis Unplugged Anniversary, they should do an activity where they can go around with a group of Dis fan to review for the Vlog.

Also might be a great opportunity to #getTeresaintheparks :bounce::jumping2::bounce::jumping2:

Since I won't be there to see it myself until August, I would be MORE than happy to view a Vlog from the team, and of course, ANY opportunity is a good opportunity to #getTeresaintheparks That would make the vlog a couple of notches cooler!

I am crossing my fingers this is true! We are going the first week of June

We are going that last week of May and staying until June 2nd! Fingers crossed this is true. I know the park will be busy but the chance to see it early on will be worth it. I was fortunate enough to ride EE a week after it opened and was one of the few to see the Yeti fully functional.

Exciting! Still trying not to get our hopes too high but we are going in the middle half of June so fingers crossed!

The elephant in the room is That universal's opening date for volcano bay is 5/25

They will make that date...who knows about Ak - because I guarantee that opening window was set by the bosses, not the engineers.

Rides are running, the land is nearing completion from the exterior (check out the aerials that came out yesterday), so I have no reason to believe that Pandora won't be open in late May.

Past examples and recent failures don't qualify as a "reason", huh?

On this I do agree though... high probability it gets done.

They need a soft opening though.

A May opening seems thoroughly possible at this point. They are getting their ducks in a row. Failures at this point, would need improvised solutions, as they are going to light this candle. Whether it is at 100% or not is the question I have. The rides should be good to go, all 2 of them. The grounds of the area looks darn good from all the aerial shots. They have 3 months to get it all working. I don't see anything that sends alarm bells out there. I've not seen any rumors indicating specific problems.

I think Disney knows this is different and needs to be done on time to compete with the opening of Volcano Bay.

You don't schedule a major 7 day event for press if nothing is opening.

Softs are said to be coming before the opening. Exactly when of course is unknown.

Cast Members themselves are only blocked out one weekend according to the calendar. Guest passes are blocked out for a wider period - I would guess that they are planning softs starting around the 20th with the hard open the following weekend

That would be dumb...if you have even a medium mechanical problem...you got no shot in a week
