Funnymums pre trip report

This is my first ever report, so you have my apologies if it all goes wrong!!

Myself -31 years (But acting like a 6 year old I am so excited!!)
Husband - 36 years (is suprising himself with how much he is looking
forward to it!)
Daughter - 7 years
Daughter - 4 years

We are going from the 8-12th June (Monday to Friday)

Staying in the Disneyland Hotel with premium half board meal vouchers.

I have been planning our first ever trip since November, which is when I found this amazing site and have been on it ever since. We decided we were going to keep it a suprise for the girls and they still dont know.

We are travelling down to Asford on Sunday and staying in the Holiday Inn, where we have booked the Eurostar package, so a taxi will come and collect us Monday morning and take us to the train station. So no stress!
I have printed out an invitation for the girls from Minnie mouse! telling them about their surprise and have gift wrapped two minnie mouse toys which they will find in the room as soon as we get up.
I am hoping by this point they too will be as excited as me.

I have brought DLRP clothes (t-shirts, fleeces, skirts etc) from Ebay all ready for them to wear. And some new princess dressing up dresses and of course a pink minnie mouse outfit for my youngest!!

We have booked disney express service but I am still tempted to go into the hotel first to see where we are staying.

We have booked 2 nights in Inventions, the Buffalo Bill show, Cafe Mickey and Auburge de Cendrillon. The princess meal is on the last day and i thought that would be a nice ending to the holiday and a chance to sit down as it will be a long day before the train leaves. I have booked it for 1415 but am now a bit worried as have read that 1200 is better!! Shall I change it?

My sister (who at 23 is a bigger kid than my youngest) is joining us for two days as a surpise to the girls who absolutely adore her.

Dont really have a plan, just to try and stay chilled and relax and not race round the park like lunatics. We are there for 5 days so I am hoping that this is enough time for my plan or lack of it to work.

You'll have plenty of time to get round the parks in 5 days, especially staying at DLH....

Sounds great The DLH is just gorgeous and so handy for the Parks Your DDs will love the breakfasts and meeting the characters outside the breakfast area.

Have you booked Inventions for two nights? Cafe Mickey could be another restaurant if you have time to fit it in??

Auberge is fantastic - my DD1 who was 3.5 at the time just adored it. We got there for 12 though and I did think it was a v good time tbh. See what others say, but if I were to go again, I'd still book for that time. You get the best tables then and sometimes more time with the characters dep on how busy the restaurant is.

Myself and DD 3 loved cafe mickey and auberge. Booked both meals for 12 and thought it worked out really well but maybe things quieten down again 2ish?

We also went from Ashford and i was also wondering how we would cope on the long last day. We ate in cafe mickey which was a nice break in the cool then into the studios. Watched a couple of the shows then back to other park for the parade. TBH the last day flew by.

Hi, we have just come back and stayed at the HI.

If it helps, there is a harvester right across the road, but when we went (bank holiday monday) there was a two hour wait !!

We booked our stay at the HI via the ashford tourist board .... we stay one night each end of the holiday and this covers the parking. For us it was cheaper to do the booking via tourist board with free parking and pay for the taxi.

We were behind a little girl and boy at the eurostar who had been told they were going to see the london eye. they were just going through passport control when their parents told them where they were going - their little faces was a treat !!

Yes we are doing two nights at Inventions as my youngest is so picky we thought that would make our life easier! But also doing cafe Mickey which we are paying for ourselves.

May change the time for the princess meal to 1200 if that was quieter.

Hope you have a lovely time KT27 and may see you there although not realise it.

Hope to do a trip report on return but will have to read instructions on downloading photos etc. I assume there is help available on here somewhere if not I will just make it up as i go along.
