Funny things overheard

A lady to her daughter while waiting for the bus to go to MK; "We have to hurry when we get to Disney, we're late for breakfast."

A lady to her DH while sitting waiting for a table; "I think that's the restaurant," pointing to the area behind the bench that was Boma, after they'd checked in.

Dad to kids, "Let's see this nice-looking racoon," getting behind me to see Meeko, having no idea who he was, just to not have to wait in the long line for Mickey. He actually was being funny, and I talked to him, and told him who Meeko was. He did say he had just gotten in line since there was only a few people and Mickey was mobbed.

We had this really funny bus driver on the way to MK one morning not too long after 9/11. She was late 50's-60 and Asian with a beautiful voice and personality. She was so funny the whole way. She thanked everyone for riding with her today because if we did not come to WDW and ride her bus she would not have a job and could not feed her dogs. She went on to tell us more ways to spend money that day so WDW would not have to lay her off. It was all light and funny, not a complain type thing at all. She had everyone in stitches before we got to MK. We watched for her all week but never saw her again.

There are some really great bus drivers at Disney. My favorite was one I had on a bus to MGM one morning, and he got the whole bus, (which was full,) to sing Zip-A-Dee-Do-Dah. And one guy really played along with it saying he thought this was the Bibidi-Bobidi-Boo bus.

My fav line came from my most recent trip into MK. We were getting onto Splash Mountain and a little boy saw the logs in the water and said to his dad "you said there was no water on this ride" to that the dad replied "its only in this beginning part" the dad obviously was in a bad mood and was just trying to get this poor little kid onto the ride with him. So we're floating along and the whole time the little kid keeps asking when we get out of the water and all we hear from behind us is soon,soon. Finally we go down the first mini drop and the little boy gets wet and I hear the loudest scream I'v ever heard in my life. Poor little guy is hysterical and the father, clearly just trying to shut him up goes, "don't worry the ride is over" I couldn't believe it! What a jerk!! My Fiance turned around and shot the guy the nastiest look ever. When we got to the big drop the kid is screaming his head off saying he wants to go home, and then gets soaked at the bottom. We normally try not to get into other peoples business but my Fiance went up to the dad after the ride and told him its not exactly nice to mently abuse your child like that and that if he cared about his child's feelings at all he would have either avoided the ride or just not taken the kid.

We saw the guy about 2 hours later by HM being screamed at by a lady, maybe his wife who knows. And silly me I thought Disney was the happiest place on earth

okay DFi told me that last post I made was too depressing to post in a funny thread so he reminded me of one we heard in EPCOT. We were reading the menu for Coral Reef and a mother standing beside us was reading outloud to the father what was on the menu. She was saying fish something and their maybe 4 year old asked what that was and I guess without thinking the father said "a fish, like Nemo" and the little girls eyes got huge and said, "YOU'RE GONNA EAT NEMO?!"
The mother just laughed while the father tried to explain that while yes Nemo is a fish that he was safe inside the ride nextdoor and nobody could eat him.

That totaly made my day It was even better that about an hour later we saw them online for the Nemo ride and the little girl had the biggest grin on her face.
