We got back from Disney last week, and I just had to share this.

While we were walking through Animal Kingdom, a woman who was walking behind me was telling her friend about the new system Disney had so you don't have to wait in line. You put your park ticket in a machine and come back at the time the slip tells you. She said it was called "The Magical Express Pass".

My dh aunt was sure (and made sure to tell everyone!) that the Beach Club resort was where people parked their private boats that they brought to Disney - ah yea right :rotfl2:

when I first started dating DH in highschool I told him all about the underground....well actually 1st floor ;) utilidors in the MK.

So he went to a family reunion and his grandfather was there talking about their recent trip to Disney and DH told him about the utilidors and he basically told my DH he didn't know what he was talking about in a condescending tone, my Dh tried to explain to him that me and my family were obessed Disney ppl but he just ignored him. I always thought he was a real jerk

Didn't you know? Sail boats at the Yacht club, power boats at the beach club.

We always laugh at people who don't know what fast passes are. It's great to hear people say things like, "Oh, shoot, my fastpass expired five minutes ago!" when they work all day.

Why not sprinkle a bit of that infamous pixie dust and let them in on the "secret"? :confused3 What about a bit of that paying it forward we often hear about on this board?! Is it really that gratifying to make fun of people who do not know as much as you? :sad2:

I wonder if there are people somewhere who believe that POFQ resort is in New Orleans.

Oh and remind me again is the Polynesian on Maui or Ohahu.

We were just at AK and here's what we heard from a lady as we were leaving Festival of the Lion King.

"Well, where do you want to go next? Water World or Africa?"

Last time I checked, they give you a time frame to return to use your fast pass. For example, if you grab your fast pass at 10 am, it'll tell you to return between 11 AM and Noon.

Has this changed?

Does this qualify on this thread?

Seriously, it still gives you a window of 1 hour - however, the CM's may grant you a little bit longer time frame if you ask nice with sugar on top and beg some.

I'm sorry, not understanding what you mean here.

Yeah, we've been lucky and made it past a few minutes of our time frame and they still let us in. Though, we've also shown up a few minutes before and they made us wait by the side. :p Either way, that doesn't mean it works all day. :thumbsup2

We had to wait when we were several minutes EARLY, however, we asked if we could come back AFTER the stated return time (since it was during our lunch ADR) and the CM at Epcot told us they were good until the close of the park that day.

There's another thread full of flames :furious: about this subject. I never even considered that it would bother some people...

In all the years that the FastPass system has been available, I have never once been turned away for an expired fastpass (always on the same day that the fastpass was issued.) Our family has been told that if the parks were really packed, then the CM's might be forced to uphold the expiration time. I have never experienced this - we have always been able to use the fastpasses after the 1 hour window... whether it was 5 minutes or 5 hours.

Not something that we would expect, but a nice benefit that we appreciate.
