CDs really were a huge difference in that era. Plus lets be honest the Microsoft bloat was real with Win95. I was on the beta test team through launch, it was fun to be part of that.

I think I still have my Windows 1.0 disks, I think its 9 5 1/4" floppies which probably don't work anymore.

They actually just well might if they have never been demagnetized. Now finding a working drive for them might be a different story (though I'm sure they're out ther).
