That's the first thing that popped in my head when I saw this picture! The smell. You know it instantly.

The pink tape is what kids used put the bang into their cap guns -- pull the trigger and when the hammer hit the dots on the tape, the gun would make a firing noise. Pulling the trigger would also advance the tape to the next dot. I used to have a small blue metal gun that was fun to play with, but as an adult I don't want anything to do with the real ones.
