I’m not sure if this is totally appropriate, but please take it in the spirit in which it is intended. We went on the Nemo ride in Living Seas Monday and ahead of us in a very short line were three women in ECVs. Not an uncommon sight. If you have ever been on this ride you’ll remember that there are rails with maybe 20 very sharp turns. Well two of the women, numbers one and three had no problem negotiating the turns, but the lady in the middle had a very hard time making the turns and rammed into the poles every time. So for all the turns it was #1 no problem, #2 hit the pole and #1 gets out of her ECV to go back to #2 and help her negotiate the turn then do the same thing all over again at the next turn. They wouldn’t let anyone else help and by the time we got through the line we were all having a lot of trouble not laughing out loud! At the end she got out of the ECV and before getting on the ride turned to everyone behind her in line and bowed. The place erupted in cheers and laughter!

It's good that she could see the funny side. Sometimes it's hard to deal with being 'noticed' like that, but if she could laugh at herself, that's great! :goodvibes

The best layed plans of mice and men often do not allow for ECVs. I am glad she had a sense of humour instead of this ending in a cussing fit. Great story, thanks for the chuckle.

::yes::
That queue is very tight. It actually is listed as one to change from an ECV to a manual wheelchair because of the sharp turns. It's not so bad in the off-site rental ECVs that are smaller and more manouverable, but the WDW ones are really too big for that queue.
One sharp turn is not too bad, but before the person gets a chance to recover from the last turn, you hit (sometimes literally) the next turn.
I remember my FIL having the same problem. He took it really slowly, but it's hard when you know you are holding up people behind you who want to get in.
Nice to hear the other people in line reacted so well.:thumbsup2

I actually request to enter through the exit at this attraction because it is so dark it makes it very difficult to manuever safely. I can't guarantee I will not runover someone's feet there. Also because it is so dark I have no visual cues and miss a lot of what people say to me including any warnings they might try to give me.
