Funny disney related things kids have said

When we took DS (almost 4) to see finding Nemo, he was so excited. When we asked what movie he wanted to see, he said "Disney and Pixar Animation's Finding Lemo"!

I just thought it was so funny that he use the full name!

These are so cute!

I have a question, on various boards, I see that people write "bump". What are they referring to?

There should be a warning when you get to this homepage that these boards are addicting!! :sunny:

Otto's Doll-

Welcome to the DIS!!!

People will "bump" threads back to the top of the board in order to generate more interest/responses on a topic. It usually gets bumped after it has fallen off the first page of topics.

I noticed from your countdown that you will be at the CR soon. We arrive there on Aug 24th! Hope to see you on the monorail!!

We are going via Shades of Green so we will be in the North Garden Wing. First time.
Guess I will have to get a Lime Green Mickey Head from HD.

See you there! :D

Thanks for the help.

Last fall was our first trip to WDW with our DD. OUr DD is 10 and is a nonverble child that loves Pooh. WE had lunch with Pooh and friends at Tony's. This was our first character meal. I think Piglett came around first and Megan had a big grin on her face, then EEyore and Tigger and the same thing each time. But when Pooh came by it was like "MY idol. Her mouth dropped and she was too stunded to smile. we have a great picture of the awe on her face at seeing her hero. Her grandfather says that everything you need to know about life can be learned from Pooh.

Ditto. I'll be the frazzled mom with 2 DDs (4.5 and 22 months) and a fighter pilot husband in tow! Go Air Force!

Sorry for hijacking the thread for a little bit!

I brought back Mickey erasers for my Sunday school class of five year olds. The kids were thrilled.

One adorable little shy girl walked over to me and pointed to a small piece of extra rubber sticking out the side of Mickey (just a little debris from the molding process) and said "is this his *certain male anatomy part* ( I am not using the anatomically correct word that she used as I don't want a moderator to censor me.)

I quickly ripped off the extra material and said "NO". That child is now probably about 25. I hope she doesn't have psychological scars from my violent dismemberment of Mickey.

Reviving this thread for my own little story....

We went back to WDW this August, and I was scheduled for a business trip in Anaheim in September (just got back last week).

Before my business trip, DS10 started asking me about my hotel.

He says, "So, is it a deluxe or a moderate?"

Well, I answer, neither really, it's just a hotel.

He asks, "What's its theming?"

I had to laugh--and tell him that it was a "hotel"-themed hotel. Is he Disney-fied or what?

DS6 (who was 4 at the time) was standing out on our balcony at BWV. Our room overlooked the lake. Out of the blue, DS says "hey look Mommy, we can see the "Rotten Beach Club"!

We took the kids for a quick trip in June/July to finish up our AP's and to celebrate DS's moving up to Middle School. It was a huge surprise, and the kids did not learn about it until we were at the airport. On the plane my DS asked where we going for dinner to celebrate since he had thought we'd be going out when we were home. I said it was a surprise. He replied, "I hope it isn't Victoria and Wilberts, 'cause I don't think I'd like to wear a suit at WDW." Dh and I explained the name was Alberts, but I guess when DH and I finally go there we will be calling it Wilberts forever now!

We took my son to see Monsters Inc. right after it came out and hadn't heard exactly how scary it was yet. He was only 3 so I was a little nervous about how he would be. Just before the movie started (when the entire theatre was dead quite) I grabbed his hand just in case. He whispered ( VERY loudy) Don't worry mommy - its from the makers of Toy Story! The whole theatre burst out laughing.

My favorite Disney story though was from when we took my 2 1/2 yr old niece for the first time. It was the first family trip since when we were kids and the entire family had been mercilously making fun of me for all my anal retentive research and planning. The first day we did breakfast at CM then took the monorail to the Magic Kingdom. I asked to sit in the front and my parents looked at me like I was nuts but the CM said sure. My dad had the video camera going (very large in those days lol) and as we came around the bend from the GF my niece spotted the castle and went nuts! She just started jumping up and down screaming " De Castle, de castle - Papa its de Castle - yohoo papa its the castle" she was even trying to snap her little fingers to get his attention. He was of course filming her and she thought he was missing it, in the meantime he had used his free hand to sweep my mother , my sister and I literally on the floor so as not to interfere with his video of his princess and "de castle"! 12 years and 10 trips later we still call him Steven Speilberg and NOBODY makes fun of my planning!

I was at the kiosk that sells all of the light up toys at Downtown Disney one night, and there was a band playing across from World of Disney. The CM was out talking with some boys, probably about 10 years old. The boy asks her if she knows any of the other people who work at WDW, to which she answers yes. Then he points to the girl singing on the stage and said "Well, do you think you can get me a date with her?"

I had forgotten about this, but another post reminded me.

A few months ago we were riding in the van and I was having a deep discussion with my DH about golf. I asked him, do you prefer minigolf or goofygolf (with windmills and dragons and stuff like that). He tells me he likes minigolf better. I say, really? I like goofygolf better. DD(3) pipes up "I like Mickey Golf better". I was like, "huh?" DH says, well, if there's Minnie golf and Goofy golf, I guess she figures there can be Mickey golf. I hadn't even realized what I had said. :p

My DD was 4 when the whole family got into the van for a quick trip to Wally World upon arriving at the local walmart 4 yr old DD started crying throwing a fit she thought we was going to Walt Disney World.
