>> Funniest Overheard Comments Part II <<

I haven't read through this whole thread, so I don't know if this one has already been posted! But how about my best friend, who was my roommate in Orlando at the time, thought EPCOT was inside the big "golfball'!!! She didn't realize it was an outdoor theme park!!! She was so amazed when we got there!! We all had a good laugh at her expense for a while after that!!

When I was a kid I thought that exact same thing ;) It makes since though, because usually the only thing you have to associate with Epcot (unless you're a disney freak like I am now) is the giant ball. Glad I wasn't the only one :thumbsup2

Overheard in the American Adventure theater after the show:

"I didn't think that was Mark Twain at first"
"Shoot, I thought it was the KFC guy!"

I have two stories that stand out from DH and I's first trip together.

On our way to dinner at Coral Reef, we walked under the monorail and heard a dad talking with his young son. He told his son the system was called the monorail because it was composed of multiple colored rails and trains. WHAT?! DH stopped and whirled around so fast I ran right into him. We both bust out laughing and ran into the restaurant to hide.

A few days later we were on POTC coming upon the skeleton on the beach scene. There was a young family on the bench in front of us and the dad said to his son "That's just how your mom looked on our honeymoon!". DH and I are still laughing about that 2.5 years later.

Sneaking in with one from Disneyland. We were there yesterday, and a little girl around 3 or 4 y.o. was sitting on a table at Pizza Port, a little ways away from her family, yelling at the top of her lungs, "But Daddy, this is the Ha-a-appy Pla-a-a-ace! This is the Ha-a-appy Pla-a-ace!" It was sad, because she was obviously in trouble and so distraught, but the way she dragged the words out was too funny.

Another from Disneyland a couple weeks ago when we were there:

(DS13, caught spooking DD7 while in line for the Matterhorn): "But Dad, I'm not trying to scare her, I'm trying to warn her!"

And my sister-in-law reminded me of this one from her Disneyland trip a couple years ago ... The first two rides their family rode were Star Tours and Space Mountain. After the second ride, her DS4 (very seriously) asked his mom, "Do we have to go into space again?" He thought he was really in space and worried maybe all of Disneyland was that way.

Just a small memory to bump this wonderful thread :goodvibes

I remember the first time my older daughter went on space mountain when she was 6. I was able to lean just far enough forward to put my hand on her shoulder for comfort after she started shrieking "I DIDN'T WANT THIS...I DIDN'T WANT THIS" over and over after the first turn until the end of the ride. She had begged to go on...but for the rest of the trip she asked before every ride to make sure it wasn't going to be like space mountain. I made the mistake of forgetting about the brief early drop in POTC and as we go down she screamed "YOU LIED!!!" Time flies. Next year she will bring her new husband on our family trip in April. I have already warned him about her troubles with space mountain.;)

I don't have anything funny to add, but wanted to say I just LOVE this thread and its original. We still quote the post with the overhead comment about a "little Buzz..." In fact, when DH's mom visited, we were sitting around talking and he said, "tell her that story about the Buzz and Woody!" I was like, :scared1: "I can NOT tell your mother that story." Classic, nonetheless.

Keep 'em coming!

We were on the GMR, sitting up in the first car with the gangser. My friend, seeing it for the first time was right into it. The gangster said "snakes! why did it have to be snakes!" And my friend said "You've got the gun- shoot it" The look on the poor CM's face said it all.:confused3

Well this thread has officially turned me into a people watcher at the parks. I will be taking notes on our trip next month for some more comments. :goodvibes

My family and I loved the move it! shake it! celebrate it! parade. We watched it several times. One day during an MK day I asked my DS4 what he wanted to do next. he said, "I want to see the puppy song." DH and I didn't understand what that was. DS4 started singing the part of the song from move it! shake it! parade that says "we're pumping up the party now." But, what he heard them singing was "there's a puppy in the potty now!" Dh & I laughed so hard at that cuteness.

:lmao:

We were at MK in May, waiting in line to meet Capt. Hook and Mr. Smee. A family walks out of the restaurant there, and I overhear a daughter (probably mid 30's) say to her mom, "you just spent all that money on new teeth and can't eat a TACO?!?!?!" OMG! :lmao: That kept me laughing the entire week!

If we had been there in May I would say that was from my family. My mom had a gum disease or something and had to have all of her teeth removed and have implants put it. It was a lot more painful than she expected and it took almost a year before she could eat certain foods and we joked iwth her about not eating stuff

That is the funniest thing yet! My DH and I ROFLOL at this one! :rotfl2:

Our first day at MK, the first thing we do is stand in line for Peter Pan's Flight. When the line moves us up by a trash can, a bee buzzes around us, DD5 freaks out and then the bee stings her. She wails!!! The crowd needs earplugs it is so bad. Then she cries out, "I want to go home! I wish we'd never come to Disney World!!!!"

Good news: later we see PP and she lets him know that she wasn't happy about getting stung while in line for his ride. He hugs her and says, "I'm so sorry. That Pooh Bear! His ride is next to mine. He is always stealing hunny from those bees and making them mad." Later we see Pooh and DD gives him quite a face and says, "It's all your fault I got stung by a bee while waiting in line for PP's ride!" Pooh grabs her in a hug and squeezes her so tight that she almost disappeared into his tummy! And I got a picture of it! DD is now 12 and she loves me to tell this story over and over!

The Magic Kingdom had EMH till 3am on Sunday. I was in the City Hall restrooms and I heard someone say "We're going to the bathroom at 3 am; isn't that magical?"
