My dd4 our first night at Pop Century, having only just arrived and not going to the parks until the next day:
DD - "This is NOT Disneyworld!"
Me - "Yes it is. Why do you say that?"
DD - "WHERE are the RIDES? WHERE are the PRINCESSES?!?"
Me - The rides are at the parks, and the princesses, well, it is past their bedtimes, and they need their sleep so you can have breakfast with them in the morning.
DD - BIG eyes. "OH!" Then she put her head on the pillow and went to sleep!
But the absolute most funny one:
DS6 is not the quickest (I do mean speed wise) child, due to a recall issue caused by a brain injury, but he is very bright all around. So he usually likes to tell jokes, but doesn't come up with one liners. When he does, we really enjoy it.
So he, and I, and my dd13 and ds11 waited in line to meet Jack Sparrow.
They usher you in like he's the King of England or something, which I think is funny on its own.
The kid's get Jack to sign their book, pose for pic, and we are headed for the door.
I say "Thank you Jack! Oh, I mean CAPTAIN Jack!" And he nods at my correctess, just as ds6 chimes in "We call the MONKEY Jack!!!"
We were out the door before we could see Jack's reaction, but we were just dying!
I didn't even know ds remembered lines from the movie.
Now whenever we see the Photopass pic we all say "We call the Monkey Jack!" LOL
