I love the idea of the resturants having entertainment while the kids are waiting for dinner to arrive. Which ones are the best? Characters are not mandatory. Kids are 9, 7, and 5.

We're going to chose Crystal palace and Ohand, but that's all I've come up with so far.

Thanks.

We liked Sci Fi Dine In but it's a little dark in there. It was really a cool though inside. Do you think they'd like the old movies on the big screen? Some people like 50's Prime Time too, but the food wasn't as great last time my family ate there. I didn't go in but they didn't like the food so much.

50's PTC is really fun, if you have a great wait person, and you play along with the shannigans you can have a really entertaining meal ( and the food aint bad either) :rotfl:

50s Prime Time and Whispering Canyon Cafe

I've read on here that the dinner is a lot of fun at 1900 Park Fare with Cinderella, the Prince, Step mother and sisters....maybe someone can comment. We've got this meal booked for our trip in April.

We liked 50's Prime Time a lot better than SciFi...SciFi was cool for about the first 20 minutes until the 'films' they were showing started to repeat - I think we saw the sequence about 7 times through because service was really slow.

We also enjoyed the Biergarten in Epcot - it was fun to watch the band and dancers, and they let the kids come down and dance in front of the stage...

I vote Ohana! Great food and the staff does an excellent job of entertaining all the diners, no matter the age. You will absolutely love it!:cool1:

Some ideas, and some of my kids' favorites -

Teppan Edo in Japan @ Epcot - watch as the chef prepares and cooks the food at your table. Entertaining along with some corny jokes.

Coral Reef @ Epcot - Entire wall is an aquarium.

Si-Fi Dine-In - @ DHS. Sit in cars at the drive-in movies.

Garden Grill @ Epcot - Character meal, entire restaurant slowly rotates, giving a view of Living with the Land.

Hoop Dee Doo Musical Revue - dinner show.

Other character meals, Princess Storybook Dining @ Epcot, Chef Mickey's @ Contemporary, etc.

Maybe - Biergarten @ Epcot or Whispering Canyon at Wilderness Lodge, although we've never been to either of these.

50's Prime Time Cafe...

examples = My GF had to stand up and do "time out" with her nose against the wall with a sugar packet between her nose and the wall

I laughed, so I had to stand up and sing "I'm a little tea cup here's my spout"

Another vote for 50's PTC. There was something going on from the time we walked in the door.
