Funie Steed Rd. ??????

We will be staying at Windsor Westside for a trip in November. We will take 417 from the airport and exit in Celebration. We have stayed at Emerald Island before and took 192 to get there. Google is telling us:
Take 192 west

Turn left onto Morgan Williams Rd.
Turn right onto Funie Steed Rd.
Turn left onto Westside Blvd.
Turn left onto Monaco Blvd. Enter at gate.

I understand that we can avoid all the WDW traffic on 192. We would be on Funie Steed Rd for several miles. What type on road is this? What is the speed limit? Are there a lot of lights? Would it be a good to take Funie Steed back to Sherberth when going to the parks?

Google Maps street view (zoom in) can tell you a lot about the type of road/lanes/etc.

It's not a little side street is it? Speed limit at least 40MPH?

We used it from Windsor Palms, but I have no idea what the speed limit was.

When we were there in December, that stretch of Funie Steed was in very bad shape. You wouldn't WANT to go faster than ~30mph IIRC. Now, maybe they've improved it since then.

In Feb we stayed at Windsor at Westside. When headed to the parks we usually only stayed on Funie Steed until formosa Gardens Blvd. The road wasn’t great after that (no middle line, poorly paved-almost more like packed gravel in some spots, at least in my memory). From Westside Blvd to Formosa Garden Blvd is a good road-35mph maybe, possibly 40. Minimal if any lights. We did get stuck behind a school bus a couple times but all in all a consistent, easy drive.

Funnie Steed is now under going road improvements and is closed until January 2020. There are detours set up but really one should plan alternate routes until then.

Thanks for the update. I guess we will just use 192.

I would just pick up Westside off 192. My dd used to live off Formosa at Funie Steed.....Funie Steed before you get to Formosa is nasty...it's actually dirt in places. Once you cross Formosa, it's better. But, it's just a two lane road, not a lot of lights but it can be busy. Yes, 192 is busy, but it will be faster then using Funie Steed.
When it's time to go to the parks, just take 192 to Sherbeth...it's really fast and easy.
