Funeral Luncheon - vent and how did yours go?

OP, I am sorry for your loss.

It sounds like poor communication all the way around.

I am on the funeral dinner committee at our church. We have a very dedicated group of ladies who will gladly bring covered dishes when called upon. Our church covers the cost of the meat. I am proud to be a part of this church ministry.

So sorry for your loss. When my mom died 5 years ago, we had a luncheon at a local restaurant. I overestimated how many people would come and got stuck with a $300 minimum. It was a buffet in a private room and they would not let us take the leftovers either.
