Organize a garage sale on a Saturday, the do really well.
Everyone brings stuff .. that way your not asking for cash from people in the church that have given or can't give... Everyone has stuff laying around

Bazaar with carnival rides, international food, games.

Craft show sell tables to vendors. Have a bake sale, plant sale with donated plates and baked goods. Sell lunch plates or bagged sandwich or pulled pork lunches.

Gumbo or red beans to go

Fish fry, steak nights.
