So yesterday when I was enjoying my night out at DCA, I was talking to a lady who is a cab driver from LA, and she had just purchased a AP like 2 weeks ago, she was a newbie and she had a premium. And I was soo excited for her, I told her all the key points to DCA, and she even agreed with me the wine is nice! RFLOL *wink* anyhow she was there to see WOC for the first time, and she had the ariels dinner and she said it was a lot for one person ,but if you can’t eat it all they do give you doggy boxes to take it home! And I thought that was cool, she also told me it was pretty good, the pasta not so much but she said the dessert platter was unbelievable and again a lot of food! Anyhow she said that as a grown up its fun to purchase things like an AP and do a nice dinner like that for herself cause it’s fun to be grown upand her attitude about it was soo awesome she was like “ I figured since my son is moved out and grown up I am going to do something grown up and for myself and I am glad I did it!!” And then we toasted to that and life and she went on her way….

Yeah. I'm doing the 5K with my sister on Saturday and then her and my dad get to sleep in while I'm doing the 1/2. It'll be fun though. I have an excuse to eat whatever I want on Sunday!

OK, so funny. I see you live in Santa Clara. I live in San Jo My friend (name=Kim) is doing the DLR race thing with her daughters this weekend. I am looking at your posts and getting all confused She tries to convince me EVERY YEAR to sign up for the Disney races. I've deferred ... because I want to relax when I go to DLR I am thinking it would be awesome to plan some 10 year vow renewal/race thing with DH...we're 2 years out for that since we got married in May 2002 (we ran a marathon together in 2000, did a 1/2 this summer ... wine country ... napa to sonoma

Yes we each had a beer and then i twisted her arm to have a oatmeal cookie shot..and she was happy to have it after she said it was really good !! i had a stella, and the waiter looked like elvis.

Saturday morning is the 5k, it starts at Mickey & Friends parking lot, then you follow the tram trail over to DL, run around there and then over to DCA and you run around there a little. The finish is at DCA this year. Last year it was Main Street. Sunday is the 1/2. You start under the overpass of DTD down Katella into DCA and DL, and then it's about 8 miles outside the park and finish n DTD by ESPN. You get to go by the HOnda Center and run the foul lines in Angel Stadium, so that's cool. It's fun, you get to run backstage and see things you normally wouldn't going to DL.

So what I want to know Kimmy, is how was the waking up and running the half after drinking with Funball the night before?

Once in high school after work a friend and I drove into the mountains trying to find our friends. We found them at 12. Started drinking and set up the tent. Slept from 2 to 6, packed the tent and I drove him to a 10K race. He ended up forth and started thinking it should be a pre-race ritual.
