Hi all! I'm going to be in Disney in 12 days! :yay:

On one day of my trip I'm taking my 7 year old nephew on a "date" we are going to Beaches and Cream with a 7pm ADR. We are staying at GFV and I'm trying to come up with something for us to do after dinner.

I was originally thinking we could pop over to Magic Kingdom since they are open until Midnight but thought maybe it would be a fun time to explore either our resort or a neighboring one.

Does anyone know of fun activities or things to do at any of the DVC resorts on the monorail that might interest a 7 year old?

Thanks! :woohoo:

Since you'll be over at the Yacht/Beach Club for dinner, you could stroll over to the Boardwalk and watch the entertainment there or you could also walk over to Fantasia Gardens and go mini-golfing. If you're set on going back to VGF, I'd stroll through the International Gateway and take my time getting back through Epcot to the monorail. Might even catch Illuminations.

Check out the resort activity calendars!

Most resorts have a campfire/marshmallow toasting and movie under the stars at night. Saw an activity calendar and it looks like January has the campfires starting at 6PM and movies under the stars starting at 7PM. Both Beach Club and Grand Floridian show them on the beach. Check the calendar though, looks like for Beach Club 1/2 are on the beach, 1/2 in the solarium and for Grand Floridian, they alternate days with the Polynesian.

Electric Water Pageant on the 7 seas lagoon and Bay lake if you're at a Monorail resort after 9PM. Schedule: Poly: 9PM, Grand Floridian: 9:15PM, Wilderness lodge: 9:30PM, Fort Wilderness: 9:45PM, Contemporary: 10PM

What are some of your favorite activities? From the videos I have watched it looks like there are lot of things to do. We are staying there and would love some suggestions and "must dos".

Thanks
