We were on the 9/14 Western Magic with two kids ages 5 and 7. We try to do as many fun things as possible at each port. Here are some of our favorites for each of the ports:
Cozumel - go to Chankanaab and see the Sea Lion show! But, don't book it through the ship - do it on your own. Cost was $10 each way for taxi, $10 admission per adult (kids are free), and $5 per adult for the Sea Lion show. Chankanaab is a great park with a little beach, snorkeling, and trails through a tropical garden. The highlight for us though, was the Sea Lion show. It's a very cute and fun show. Afterwards you can have your picture taken with a sea lion and you can kiss and get kissed by the sea lion. My kids absolutely loved that!
Key West - visit the Key West Aquarium at feeding time. As far as aquariums go, it's nothing special. However, feeding time is special. For example, it's incredible to watch a nurse shark chew up a fish in the guide's hands, and the speed of a sawfish is amazing! My kids were fascinated, and they learned some things. They also got to pick up starfish and horseshoe crabs.
Grand Cayman - visit the Turtle farm. The kids really enjoyed the touch tanks where they were able to pick up sea turtles. Also, as far as beaches go, seven mile beach is a beautiful beach. It was very uncrowded with no one hassling you. Castaway Cay was a lot more annoying with CMs constantly pushing drinks when you're just trying to relax!
