We were on the 9/14 Western Magic with two kids ages 5 and 7. We try to do as many fun things as possible at each port. Here are some of our favorites for each of the ports:

Cozumel - go to Chankanaab and see the Sea Lion show! But, don't book it through the ship - do it on your own. Cost was $10 each way for taxi, $10 admission per adult (kids are free), and $5 per adult for the Sea Lion show. Chankanaab is a great park with a little beach, snorkeling, and trails through a tropical garden. The highlight for us though, was the Sea Lion show. It's a very cute and fun show. Afterwards you can have your picture taken with a sea lion and you can kiss and get kissed by the sea lion. My kids absolutely loved that!

Key West - visit the Key West Aquarium at feeding time. As far as aquariums go, it's nothing special. However, feeding time is special. For example, it's incredible to watch a nurse shark chew up a fish in the guide's hands, and the speed of a sawfish is amazing! My kids were fascinated, and they learned some things. They also got to pick up starfish and horseshoe crabs.

Grand Cayman - visit the Turtle farm. The kids really enjoyed the touch tanks where they were able to pick up sea turtles. Also, as far as beaches go, seven mile beach is a beautiful beach. It was very uncrowded with no one hassling you. Castaway Cay was a lot more annoying with CMs constantly pushing drinks when you're just trying to relax!

"Pet a shark and view tropical fish that are native to Key West waters. Shows and feeding at 11,1, 3, & 4:30. Open daily 10am-6pm." $9 admission, $4.50 for ages 4-12.

Click here for the official Web site of the Key West Aquarium. You'll find some other information, including the history of the aquarium (but it's not a great Web site).

The aquarium is at Mallory Square. I understand that Mallory Square is walking distance from where the Disney Magic docks.

I was at the Key West Aquarium about 10 years ago. Compared to the fabulous newer aquariums in places such as Monterey, Baltimore, New Orleans, and even Albuquerque, it's not particularly outstanding. But I expect that we'll go there with our kids when we dock at Key West on our 2004 Disney Magic cruise.

The Magic docks about a block from Mallory Square. The aquarium is just a short walk from the ship. We paid $1 less for admission since we were from the cruise ship.
