Fun, Sun and Mickey ~ Easter 2007 ~ Day 19

Tuesday April 10th
Weather ~ cloudy and dry in morning, rained all afternoon 76*F

We drove to the Polynesian for breakfast at ‘Ohana. We really enjoyed this, the food was very yummy and we saw Lilo, Stitch, Mickey and Pluto.

I would definitely come here again.

After breakfast we strolled round the resort. The pool and beach are lovely but totally deserted today because it was so c-c-c-cold!! Although not quite as cold as yesterday, thank goodness.

We had originally planned this as our Typhoon Lagoon day but decided we would instead go to MGM first in the hope that it might warm up for the afternoon.

We watched the Voyage of The Little Mermaid which is a lovely show then did the Great Movie Ride.

We found Mickey and Minnie’s signatures

then had some popcorn and did the Backlot Tour. Then it started to rain....oh dear, looks like we won’t be going to Typhoon Lagoon after all. The rain just got heavier and heavier so we did some more last-minute shopping then decided to leave. The CM driving the tram assured us the water parks would still be open as they wouldn’t want to disappoint the Spring Break guests but let‘s just say they are obviously made of sterner stuff than us and we will take a rain check on Typhoon Lagoon until our next time!!

When we got back to the hotel there was a lovely surprise waiting in our room. Yay!! The wanderlust husky had returned from his adventures!!

The girls decided to go swimming in the hotel pool and Bryan and I went down and relaxed in the jacuzzi which was sheltered from the rain by overhanging trees. We decided not to bother going out for dinner but had take-out pizzas from a nearby Pizza Hut and an early night.

Thank goodness the husky turned up! I've been in that position before and had to make an expensive second purchase to stop tears

So pleased to hear that Husky had returned. Sorry that the rain stopped you getting to the water park, but sounds as though you made the most of the day anyway. I love the Little Mermaid show too.
