Weather ~ cold, showers most of the day, 70*F
What a shock to the system the weather was today. It was c-c-c-cold, rained most of the day and we had to wear both a hoodie and a waterproof.
At least it was dry first thing, so after breakfast we headed off to Sea World where we had booked a Dolphin Nursery Close-Up Tour as a surprise for the girls.
We checked in for the tour which wasn’t going to be until early afternoon so in the meantime we watched the Pets Ahoy Show with some gorgeous dogs
and then the Clyde & Seamore one with sealions and an adorable otter.
We had a walk through the Shark Encounter and then popped over to the Cypress Bakery for a cookie and a drink. By now it was time for the Dolphin Tour. Unfortunately by now it was also raining.
We really enjoyed this tour, it was an hour long and consisted of a short talk with the rest of the time spent with the dolphins in the nursery. There was another family of four from Chicago who were with us on the tour, we were given one dolphin to look after and they were given another. Our dolphin was called Cosmo, and we all had a go at training him, although once they realised there was fish around all the other baby dolphins kept trying to muscle in!!
I only took this one picture as it was raining and what with the dolphins splashing I was worried about my camera.
An official photographer stands across the pool and takes loads of photos which are probably excellent when it’s a dry day but as we were all huddled in our waterproofs trying to stay dry we didn't exactly look our best
so we didn’t bother buying any.
This tour was worth every cent, next time I rather fancy doing the Polar one with penguins. The only downside was yet again we stank of fish!!!
It was time to say goodbye to Sea World now and we decided to head back to Animal Kingdom as I wanted to see the tigers.
We wandered through the Maharajah Jungle Trek, I love looking at all the animals here but especially the tigers!!
We weren’t very hungry tonight so just grabbed a burger and fries in Restaurantosaurus. We decided we’d ride Expedition Everest again but Francesca wasn’t too keen as she decided she didn’t like going backwards in the dark, so I opted to keep her company whilst the others rode. We managed to amuse ourselves by taking photographs of her posing beside all the bikes in Asia!! Here are a couple
Then it was time to do some last-minute shopping before the park shut and we made our way back to the hotel where Danielle got a nasty shock when she couldn’t find her husky. Each day the chambermaids used to arrange their teddies on their beds, all the others were there but not her husky..........Oh dear, methinks white husky plus white sheets equals an adventure to the laundry.
We rushed down to reception who said they would get in touch with the laundry.........I hope he turns up otherwise we will have to try to fit in a return to Epcot to replace him!!
Tomorrow ~ Breakfast with
and Typhoon Lagoon
