Tuesday April 3rd
Weather ~ hot, sunny 86*F
My back seems to have made a pretty good recovery and I feel up to riding The Mummy so after breakfast we set off to Universal.
We headed straight for Revenge of the Mummy. Only Bryan and I though, as our DDs wanted us to check it out before they’d go on it
so they watched The Blues Brothers whilst they waited for us.
Then it was over to Jaws, then Men in Black. The queue for the lockers was ridiculous
even longer than the queue for the ride itself, so I opted out of this one to be the bag lady. Afterwards we did Twister then decided to have something to eat. We had very nice burgers and fries at Richter’s and enjoyed their toppings bar.
Suitably refreshed we did Earthquake, Shrek (loved this show) and the girls had a photo taken with him
watched the Animal Actors show
and rode ET Adventure. I love the way your name is said at the end!
The queues for The Mummy had dropped now so we all rode it.
I enjoyed it more this time round now that I knew what it was like ~ although the fire was much hotter this time and melted the black dye from my Athens crocs into my feet.
When I came off the ride it looked like I hadn’t washed my feet for a month and I had to go to the rest room to try and scrub it away!
Bryan and I went to watch The Terminator2 show whilst the girls went shopping. Although I don’t like the Terminator films I think the show was excellent.
Then we watched Cinesphere Spectacular ~ a cross between Epcot’s IllumiNations and DLRP’s Cinemagique ~ which was very good before stopping off at the Beverly Hills Boulangerie for Cheesecake Factory cheesecakes and drinks. Yummy yummy.
Tomorrow ~ Epcot.
