Friday March 23rd
Weather ~ hot and sunny 82’C
We had a good night’s sleep and awoke early ~ don’t you always on that first morning!
We ate breakfast at the hotel ~ there was a very good selection of cereals, toast, plain and
shaped waffles, hard-boiled eggs, muffins, bagels, scones (and gravy), porridge, donuts, pastries, fresh fruit, tinned fruit, fruit juices, iced water, tea and coffee. At the weekend they would normally lay on scrambled eggs and sausages as well. Considering this is a complimentary breakfast we felt it was excellent.
I gather this will probably change as we become seasoned visitors but at the moment we all still want to hit Magic Kingdom on our first day!
We soon arrived at the TTC and took the ferry across.
I just love standing there watching that beautiful Castle getting closer and closer.
That magical feeling just gripped us as we entered Main Street and we’re home again!
First thing was to grab a photographer and get a photopass.
We then sped off to Frontierland and got a fastpass for Big Thunder Mountain, our favourite ride. The queues for Splash Mountain were low so we rode that and got absolutely soaked.
Funny, I can’t remember getting that wet last time!
Then it was time for our ride on Big Thunder Mountain which we really enjoyed.
We spent the rest of the morning looking for Hidden Mickeys then stopped for a snack at Sleepy Hollow. I had a funnel cake with strawberries and cream whilst the others had cookies. Mmmmmm, delicious……………
We then wandered over to the Christmas shop and bought some Christmas decorations. Then it was time to drive over to MGM. We had a few photos taken
and then rode Tower of Terror.
Danielle and Francesca had been too small to ride this last time so they couldn’t wait!
Then it was time for our Fantasmic package ADR at Hollywood and Vine. We had enjoyed this last time and it was just as good today. Lots of choice and our CM was lovely.
After finishing we went to take our seats for Fantasmic. We sat at the front again as the girls love getting splashed then feeling the heat of the fire. It was such a lovely evening, it was so nice chilling out chatting about our day as we waited for it to start. As always Fantasmic was fantastic!!!
Of course it is always a mass exodus after it’s finished so as soon as we could we ducked into the shops to let the crowds go, before driving home after a lovely first day.
Tomorrow ~ Epcot.
