My 13 yr old niece and I were in Claire's tonight and we decided to pick us up a crown to wear to DL! Mine is smaller with little heart and dangly crystals, hers says princess, is tall and has purple fur :). I guaranteed her that we wouldn't look silly because people wear all sorts of head/hair accessories at DL, I was right wasn't I? I haven't been to DL except for 1 day trip but at WDW I believe I remember lots of hats, ears, crowns, and various sparkly things.

Of course, DS 11 is totally embarrassed by the crowns but thinks that his halloween Indiana Jones hat is going to look really cool!:rotfl:

You're right. The Dis Divas ladies only group wore tiaras in the park and had their group pic taken with them on at PFF with the princesses.

Every girl is a princesses at DLR!

Here's a picture from last year's Girls Only Trip to Disneyland. Notice 20+ women wearing our tiarras. There were more ladies on the trip that weren't able to make this picture.

I used to be surprised by the types of things people put on their heads at DL, but not anymore. I've seen it all - those huge Mad Hatter hats, Evil Queen hats, Grumpy hats with dread locks, etc. With some sparkly tiaras, you'll fit right in! Have fun!:)

Well, for my 28th birthday I wore a lovely plastic tiara that said :bday: on it in pink, blue, and yellow. I got a lot of comments on it, and it was fun to wear! I wish I was going for my birthday again next year so I could wear it again. :teeth:

If there's any place on this earth that you should feel comfortable wearing a tiara, it's Disneyland!

For my birthday
DD and I went to BBB

I ended up with pink hair!! :rotfl2:
You only turn 40 once.
(I think I will go back to 39 next year and stay there)

Just a theory...
The CM take clues from the guests about what kind of interaction they are looking for.

A shy child is allowed extra space,
My mom (wearing her birthday ears) got tons of attention.
KWIM?

A tiara is an invitation to play.
Notice me - I am a princess :lovestruc

My DD eats up all the attention,
My DN would rather die.

A tiara could make your visit more magical.
If it becomes too much attention,
you can stash your tiraras in a bag and go as a princess in disguise.
Just like Jasmine in the market place.

Have a great trip :wizard:

I did BBB for my bday, the girls went with me, DD9 and I both had tiaras in all day. :) I'm planning to take DD's tiara again in Dec for her bday trip, can't afford the BBB so I'll just do it myself for her. :)

They have these cute little tiny tiaras they sell in the parks, and I tried SO hard to get my sister to wear one with me! She declined, but I am planning to get one next time and wear it anyway :cutie:. My sis and I are going again this week, so I just might have to get one for her and talk her into wearing it...it isn't like she's shy :rotfl:

Ok, I'm leaving in 12 days - just finished knee surgery - walking a challenge and guess what I'm going to do before I leave. FIND A TIARA to wear.

I may add it in the evenings to my Mickey Santa hat which is already covered with Mickey Christmas pins.

ahhhhh, what's a little more BLING!

I'll be in a decorated scooter since walking will not be comfortable. I have PLENTY of bling for the scooter with garland, bows, squeaky horn and bike bell....don't forget the custom-made pouch on the back of the seat (I'm sure I'll end up carrying everything for everyone!).

BLING=BLING

Thank you for the GREAT idea!

Decorated scooter? Love it!:rotfl:
I'm really excited now about our tiaras, she didn't seem hesitant at all, and I don't think she's boy crazy yet so she won't care if "cute guys" see her! :)

DS on the other hand told me not to embarrass him because he's thinking about trying to pick up a girl's phone number. He said he figured he should try it there first since he'll be in CA and won't ever have to see her again (we live in NC).

My son, the 6th grade player!:lmao:

Although we draw the line at Tiara's :rolleyes1 , we always wear some sort of head gear every day at the park. Usually ears, but have been known to wear others. :) Tons of people wear stuff. You'll fit right in.

:rotfl2: I think those pointy things that hold the tiara on would be pretty uncomfortable for you guys anyway :rotfl:

Tell me about it. You should have seen the clip on Pooh ears I tried to wear. Ouch.

When two of my best friends and I went to WDW (and later to DL--we were all 17/18 at this point) we all had tiaras that we'd bought at the Disney store prior to our trip. Mine was Belle-themed, one of my friends had a Cinderella-themed one, and my other friend had an Aurora-themed one. A couple of CMs we talked to pretended like we were the real thing and one even escorted us inside a store we were heading into anyway! But my favorite part was when a little girl came up and asked if she could take a picture with my friend who had the Cinderella tiara--she kept asking questions about what the castle was like and everything! :D
