Fun restaurant for a two year old

We're letting all our kids pick a restaurant at Disney for their birthdays when we go this Spring. My youngest will be two and not able to articulate his preferences. I was thinking Chef Mickey's but I'm not sure if it would be overwhelming. Any suggestions? This will be his first trip to Disney. He's a good eater but gets restless if he's not eating.

When my youngest was two, we really enjoyed Biergarten! She was able to get out of the stroller and "dance" on the dance floor...perhaps I should say run around the dance floor! She enjoyed the music and the freedom of the dance floor!

Another good one during that trip was Garden Grill. For the opposite reason I suggested Biergarten. If you want to be able to stay put at the table, then this restaurant is for you. It is all you can eat, but they bring it to the table for you. If you get seated in one of the booths, it will feel like you have the characters all to yourself. She decided on her own that the characters only come to see the people that were eating and staying in their seat. She kept reminding her sister and brother of this during the meal. So cute!

If I remember correctly at Crystal Palace and Tusker House they did things where kids paraded around the restaurant and the characters came around quickly but our ADRs were when they first opened when it was not as crowded. We have only been to breakfast so not sure if other meals are the same way.

I concur with the Garden Grill recommendation. Because they bring the food to you, family-style, it's far less chaotic than the character buffets. It's also much quieter than most of the character meals, IMHO. You could also consider Coral Reef in EP if you think he would enjoy seeing all of the fish in the big aquarium.

None of my kids are Winnie the Pooh fans. I think he might be a little small still for a parade. We're not doing anything super early to get us into the parks. I feel like I'd feel too rushed and stressed. Plus we regularly are running late in the mornings.

I’m another fan of Garden Grill (breakfast) It was by far the least chaotic of all the character meals we did. We also saw most of them at least twice. My DGS had to go to the potty in the middle of breakfast and they came by twice to say Mickey would be back to see him when he returned. The food was quite good too, which is a plus!

My daughter loved Sanaa at that age. It wasn't about the food, but the fact that she got to see the animals before and during dinner.

Coral reef at EPCOT might be good for you. The swimming fish should keep a two year old happy.

That's a good idea that I hadn't considered. Thank you!
You have access to the entire resort except the pool if you're eating at a restaurant. You can arrive 45 mins early and let them see the animals close up. If you go during xmas, Santa is always there during dinner too (for free). Less than a 5 min wait. I did it every year when I lived in Tampa.

My little guy will be 2 in November. We really like Garden Grill with him and Boma. :)

Depends on the characters he likes. All of the character meals are great. Crystal Palace has Winnie the pooh and garden grill is a farm theme with mickey pluto chip and dale. I like that the food comes to you and that the floor rotates. tusker house was fun. Just like chef mickey but safari themed clothing. Can't go wrong with any of them. what did your other child pick?

We took our son at 18 months and the week before he turned 3. We did Tusker House on both trips, Garden Grill on the first, and Crystal Palace on the second.

Garden Grill was the easiest because you don’t have to get up to get food. However, we thought the food at Tusker House was better. All 3 were fun!

I have three older kids. All their birthdays are within two months of our trip but each get a special meal. My oldest is Leaky Cauldron at Universal. My second oldest Be Our Guest and my third wanted princesses so we're doing Askerhaus.

One of the only things the 10 year old remembers from our trip in when she was 2 and it was Tusker House. Goofy sat down beside her and pretended to eat with her. A great memory.

Our two year last trip loved Askerhaus the best - he was so cute and sweet with the princesses, and he loved walking around in the little parade. He also liked TRex but he's not a shy or easily scared little guy.

Then I'd definitely do some sort of mickey character breakfast. Chef Mickey, Tusker House, Garden Grill, Cape May

Garden Grill is a good option. Not as much noise as Chef Mickeys. And you see the characters several times as its a much smaller restaurant.
