If it were my own house I would because I know that my floors are clean, at other places NO.
Depends....if it's something yummy, as long as the kids don't catch me, it's fair game.![]()

What amazes me is the amount of people that give their infants their keys to play with. It you won't eat something that has hit the floor, why in the world would you let you infant teethe on your dirty keys.
Or the pacifier (or bottle) drops on the floor; they wipe it on their shirt and give it back.

I saw a man and his son at WDW walking around MK and the little boy had a bag of cookies. He dropped one and the dad bent over and said "5 second rule!!" and ate it.... right off the ground at WDW!! EEEWWWW!!!! I know they clean every night, but man the ground is still very nasty!! I just stood there with my mouth hanging open.![]()
Depends on how good that cookie was! As long as it didn't fall in something wet, I would brush it off and eat it.
Mythbusters did tests on the 5 second rule...they found it didn't matter if it was 5 seconds or less, it still had just as many germs and bacteria than if they waited longer to pick it up.
