I was wondering if someone could recommend a fun restaurant we could go to on my daughter’s 8th birthday while we are in WDW. We have been to Disney before for her Birthday and the servers are always really nice and bring her a cupcake and wish her a Happy Birthday, but this time I was hoping for a little more. I think it would be more fun for her to go to a restaurant where they sing and have a candle she can blow out. I know I can order a cake at the Disney restaurants but I still don’t think they sing, correct?
Any location would be fine, such as Downtown Disney or offsite.

We went for DD's b-day to Crystal Palace, and she LOVED it! They did come out and bring her a cake (I requested ahead of time) and a card signed by the characters. I honestly don't remember if they sang or not, but it seemed like they did - several of them came out with the cake, and I think Pooh came over too. It was all so exciting, I guess I don't remember all the details! :rotfl2:

I am sure you could bring your own candles, but I'd call and ask. I did call the bakery dept and request a cake, and it was good - completely unnecessary since we had all had plenty of dessert already! She thought it was awesome, though, and that was what mattered!

We've also been to Whispering Canyon for my son's 9th b-day, and that was fun. Our server had all the girls come over and sing to him and he was so embarassed! :cool1:

I'm sure the Princess meals at Akershus would be a fun way to celebrate too- we did that for my b-day, but my family was not allowed to tell anyone. (No singing for me!) I'd go early though, before they get too busy!

We are trying for 50's Prime Time for my cousin's 14th bday, hoping they will make it lots of fun!

Best wishes for your DD's bday! No better way to spend it!:thumbsup2

I would do WCC - it's so fun there and they will really put on a show! Singing, and possibly make her ride around the restaurant on their wooden horse....it's a very fun and entertaining place to eat for any occasion.

We did do Akershus for her Birthday two years ago and they were really nice, our server gave her a cubcake and said Happy Birthday but nothing really special.
Same thing at CRT 3 years ago and 1900 Park Fare this past Nov.
Some of the chain retaurants by us make more of a big deal on her Birthday than we had at WDW.
Oh well, maybe we will go offsite.

I would love that but I don't think she would ride around on a horse.

I would love to go somewhere I know they would sing and she could blow at a candle.

thanks for the replies!
