Fun & nostalgic look back at DVC -promo video circa ~1990 (RetroWDW restored video)

I thought this was a fun look-back at the DVC promotional material from the 1990's (or the late 1900's as the kids are calling it. ). VHS tape restored by the very talented team at RetroWDW / Lake Buena Vista Historical Society.

I love watching these old videos. It sometimes makes me sad, because it is clear just how much (for the worse) DVC and WDW have changed over the years.

Thanks for posting this, good stuff. I used to have a ton of old VHS/DVDs. We would often give one to an interested friend or family member which helped in selling a couple of contracts. Today's vibe is not the same. I went to the DVC presentation on the Fantasy last week and was rather unimpressed with the presenting talent in their style and knowledge.

So true.... this video is so elegant and makes you feel like you're truly part of something refined and special....

sadly, I don't think any company advertises in this way anymore....

Great to see how it was presented at the start.
Some take aways, At the start you could only borrow up to 50%,,,not sure when it changed, but I remember how a lot were upset during Covid when we could only borrow 50%.
I knew about the free tickets, but didnt know about that they would book your flights, rent cars,etc. Things have changed.

The free tickets were awesome! It sealed the deal for us. Video makes me quite nostalgic!
